1. I am looking at that wondering what would posses someone to do that and 2. From the pictures, it looks like this kk is relatively intact. That is impressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've been tweaking this rub for a while. I think I need to start using actual measuring implements This is probably one of my healthiest and yet tastiest cooks. I made this to cheer myself up. I've been looking forward to running a 10k that was supposed to be yesterday but got some killer shin splints last week. I have been limping around when just walking. Hopefully it gets better soon. I had been running a minimum of 6 miles 2 times per week for a couple of months up until this weekend. I think the lack of endorphins made it more disappointing lol. Anyway, I feel a little better now.

I agree. Black is awesome . I would also look at the grate to firebox difference. Mine has me so spoiled I get really mad whenever I heat up my Akorn for sides. Haha. I will also say, I have never even seen one person unsatisfied with their purchase. While I haven't owned mine for that long, I read back though this forum for years and years worth of postings. I encourage you to do the same.

I know it's not recommended but I use my deflector as a pizza stone. I never use it as a deflector. And it works better as a pizza stone than my actual pizza stone (not a KK stone. I'm sure the kk stone would be better). I also use a piece of parchment under my pizza as well.

Thank you. Although, technically this is actually egg noodles and cheese!

This would be perfect for Easter.

Last night was my first time kamado cooking a ham. I made my own rub and glaze of course. It turned out great!

One of my proposed resolutions "eat more lobster" lol!!!

I finally ordered my rotisserie and basket splitter for my KK as a Christmas present from my parents and grandmother. I mostly had to wait until now so I could be sure I would be home when it arrives (as a teacher we travel/visit a lot of family during school breaks). Looking forward to some delicious spins!!!

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I don't think anyone will/would be fooled. You know...I kinda keep my mouth shut at the guru about KJ, but it is rubbing me wrong when folks over there ask about upgrading their current units and it is clear that the answer is "who cares about existing customers". I can't IMAGINE hearing that over here. I would be outraged right now if I had just bought a KJ (which did cross my mind prior to buying my KK) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hahaha I made it my own. I gotta remember that one.

Thanks! I got to do some kamado cooking for just the immediate family so I wanted to do something special for my hubby who had been putting up with my family for a while.

Thanks. I will be doing the 9 minute pasta again-but with double the tomatoes lol!!!

I'm sure it will be. This was the best lobster I've done so far. Doing it the proper way will make it even better. I heard you and others talk about dwell in the shell method so thanks for the inspiration!

What an interesting method for Cornish game hens. I imagine it makes a better impact on poultry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My FIL took down a pecan tree. Thats what I get for free so that is what I use. I also feel like it goes with everything so that is working to my advantage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That looks like a fun family meal. Good way to make an event out of a meal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Beginningend Apparently I did dwell in the shell backwards. I will have to correct that soon. However the lobster was superb.
