Dennis, I have to ask why you are going with the small fluid bed roaster instead of a small drum roaster? You can put probes and a computer on the drum to see what you are doing or you can buy a drum roaster with all that stuff on it. I added insulation to this drum shell but it is not necessary to get this roaster going. It is a Quest M3 made in Taiwan, comes in either 120V or 240V models. Then there are these: http://www.x-coffeeroasters.com/r500-shop-coffee-roaster-machine/ Or these, which are made in Tiawain I think and imported to the USA for this distributor. https://millcityroasters.com/shop/coffee-roasters/500g-1lb-gas-coffee-roaster/

Isn't it supposed to be curved side down? -
That is interesting! Had not thought about that aspect.

The only advantage I can see, besides looking grate :-), is that a spatula will slide over them from most directions.

It indeed is amazing, but I missed the built-in BBQ, probably to busy drooling over everything else. If that entire place had been built where W.R. Hearst built his castle in San Simeon I would say it would have been absolutely perfect. I would miss the ocean...

That has to be the nicest home/estate I have ever seen. Totally self sustaining and not garish in any sense of the word. I couldn't resist a selfie Main Gate Standing in the middle of the lawn looking away from the home toward the greenhouse on top of the hill Looking toward the home Me... This place makes Hearst Castle look like a shelter for the empoverished.

Maple is a good accent to a pizza! Very tasty looking and kudos for such a good first pizza on your KK.

OK, I see a couple of folks that have little reason to leave their patio!! WOW, good brew, great grilling/smoking and a beautiful tranquil setting. Life doesn't get much better than that

Excellent resurrection/rebuild!!

GolfPro2301, did you rename your KK? I would lean heavily toward Lazarus

Coffee Char is good on Fowl, actually pretty good for many things.

Thanks, that is a very neat, precise cut of that paper!! Had me fooled

I am ready to go to bed and am suddenly hungry! That is a good idea. Is the "Platter" they are sitting on a big tortilla?

Nice job on that bracket Dennis!! Simple and effective.

The move must have been easy.

Not as bad ss mam ruoc! A place you DON NOT WANT TO BE is the sauces isle in an asian supermarket during an earthquake. The potential for big stink is everywhere and every dog and cat in the neighborhood would be following you.

Cha gio (no accent marks assigned) is the "spring roll" without rice paper wrapping. It uses the potsticker style wraps that are grainy. Generally they have the contents ground up before wrapping and sealing in their cocoon for frying. Goi cuon (no accents since this machine won't do it) is the "Spring roll" that is NOT fried and always wrapped in thin rice paper wraps. The contents have thin rice noodles as a base for the contents along with a vegetable thinly sliced, like cucumbers and carrots, and a little meat like shrimp or pork w/fat. The Hoisin sauce based dipping sauce is one way to go and the fish sauce based dipping sauce is another. I horrified my wife when I requested mam ruoc (again no accents!) as a base sauce. A lot more flavor although pretty stinky
