  1. Outstanding Tekobo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Nice Troble, Here is last nights meal. Seared on one side to caramelise the fat, then sliced. Plated, couldn’t finish the whole steak it was sooooo rich. And this is the agrodolce. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Agrodolce tonight in the KK Along with 3 cheese potato and mushroom bake And some Wagyu striploin The agrodolce sauce has juice from 2 lemons, about 1 cup of over fermented Kambucha tea( strengthens to a vinegar) and about 2 tablespoons of bush honey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It’s an interesting business Aussie. Seriously, if you get a chance to try Stockyard Beef, they won best steak in the world in Dublin. It’s sensational. I have two Kiwami striploin s in my cold room with a marble score 7 and will show one of them cooked in the next month or so. https://stockyardbeef.com.au/our-beef/kiwami/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It’s nice to have a rainy day every now and then Tekobo. BUT, this was our morning on the Brunswick River. And this was our evening at South Golden Beach. With a full moon tonight. If I get a second KK, it’ll live at the beach house. I struggled last night to cook on an unfamiliar gas bbq. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Any ideas

Interesting tyrus. Back that spout up against a block wall as a chimney, kinda pizza oven. Same as Tekobo, not sure I can seen the finished cooker Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. South Golden Beach. About 20 minutes north of Byron Bay. You would have driven past it going from BB to Noosa. Both great beaches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I love my spit roti Skyros. A call to Dennis to confirm the age of your KK and you will be guided to the right components. Punch on with the roti, I’m sure you won’t regret it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Mac you would love to see Billie once she is let out of the gate. There’s a video on this Instagram link. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCHrTORgbqFWO594MdeUeH1VZDHj4mOOIo0tsQ0/?igshid=aqpa77zcxv61 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow, Tekobo I knew you were opening Pandora’s box with this post. I watched and thought, plenty of peeps will have something to say before I added my tuppence. Here are my thoughts. I enjoy my 23” and occasionally think a 32” would be useful, and occasionally a smaller, mobile KK would be useful. The 42” is beautiful, and boastful, And an engineering feat, however, I don’t see that i could use this more than once a year for a big cook up. Most cooks for a family and friends of 4- 10 can be managed on 19”- 23”, Conservation of charcoal and heat management plays a part in my selection and would then consider a high dome 19” and a a 32” if I had space for 2 KK’s. Otherwise, I’m happy with my 23”. 2 zone cooking, 23” can handle this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Crickey Troble, you have taken that lighting to the next level
  12. Really simple Steve. Dry off the fish. Salt and pepper. Double salt on the skins side. Hot plate, generous dob of butter in the pan. Skin side down first, patience for about 2 minutes, then flip. Done. I put the lemon juice over the spinach and tomato’s to steam in the same pan. I prefer the fish with a little crisp on the skin with lemon on the side( in the spinach) Wingman, does this help? That’s the other side of the Pacific Ocean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That looks tasty Steve. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Braai there are plenty in our retail shops here. They are pretty sexy, mostly extruded aluminium body. I haven’t heard bad reports from a cooking point of view. Build quality looks ok. Totally different product to KK. I don’t know any bbq that compares to KK. Even a BGE is a totally different product even though cooking methods may be similar. Kind of Art Deco looking design. 15. School holidays here and the covid restrictions are slowly being lifted. So, our beach house is now accessible across the state border into New South Wales. I had to duck back to work today- about an hour away and came back to this. In the fridge X 2 The neighbour went fishing this morning and although I missed the fishing, he caught his load and generously donated. Turned one of the red snapper into this. Delish, and very simple cook. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Great photos Tekobo. It looks like you have numerous hot spots, and cool spots depending on the time of the year and the time of the day. Makes for a well designed garden. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That’s a logical reason for not continuing the 30” ckreef. Why the BS about discontinuing because of dents in the 30” that won’t be in the 27”? It’s like the American health minister stating that masks don’t stop covid from spreading, then 5 weeks later saying they do and he knew it, he just didn’t want to create panic buying when he knew there was a shortage of masks. What’s wrong with the truth? The Perpetual lies only diminish trust and more and more it’s becoming acceptable. That’s my ranting over for now.[emoji2959] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That has to be a sales gimmick? If they cancelled the 30” due to dents, that’s a packaging problem, not a size issue. Now they have sold out of 30”, BUT, you can still get one if you place an order. This doesn’t seem straight to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Here are the beef ribs cut up. Very tasty. 2 lamb cutlets left over Troble, not even 1 meal. 4 adults, 5 kids. Funny night. My 14yo daughters first boy friend- self discovered in a big city. Turns out his mother and my wife have been friends from school. So we all caught up for a feed and a few bevies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Welcome K2. Can get high temp within an hour. 1. Fill your basket with charcoal. 2. Light 2 places. 3. Open bottom vents to about 1/4. Open top vent 2 full rotations. 5. Blow lit area 5- 10 mins after lighting. This will bring you up to temp within 1 hour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Her is the cook I’ve pulled the lamb off earlier. Here is the lamb. It smells soooooo good. Use a dry curry rub on one rack, cumin, chillie and paprika rub on the other rack. The beef back ribs have been marinating in soy sauce, molasses and a bbq rub- Lanes. Finished lamb Finished ribs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Great looking pizza Mac and Troble. I’ll have beef back ribs and also lamb racks on tonight. Going to stretch the KK real estate to its limits Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Tony our Memorial Day- aka Anzac Day was cancelled and we all stood in our drive ways with a candle at 6am. Same with our Labor Day March. And then they allowed 30,000 people to gather for a BLM rally. Some of the rules here are ridiculous and very hypocritical. However, our death rates for all flu related death are well down on a typical winter- due to better hygiene and isolation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It’s uv light that kills it...... don”t go out at night. This is a small part of why scientists now believe this virus was made in a lab and did not mutate/ evolve naturally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. 2.4m covid cases in USA with 123,000 deaths. 102,000 cases in Canada with 8,500 deaths 7500 cases in Australia with 102 deaths. Aus has 28m people and Canada has 37m and USA has 330m. The stats are crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
