  1. My first one started smoking out of the computer board after about 5 years...fried it.
  2. I think you need to add "I have a K and have no plans to upgrade". I think there are a few that may choose it.
  3. OK, I'm a larger family of 3. I also have 3 cats and 2 dogs. We may have a 3rd dog. but we don't know for sure. My purdy thang awoke me in the middle of the night the other night (simmer down DJ, it's not what you think) and told me to come take a look. I went to the front door and turned on the light and Chubby and another dog were fast asleep in the yard. Never seen him (or her) before then
  4. Re: Poll I know what pos is, what is the 'h'? I tried to sell my 'k' but nobody wants it. It takes up space on my back porch. My brother in law doesn't know about them so I'll prolly just give it to him to get it offa the porch. (OK, to be fair, my K is not a POS. I believe I got it in 1999 or 2000. It's 7-8 years old, and it only has one tile missing, so some of us did get lucky).
  5. Dude, if you ain't got a foodsaver yet you gotta get one!
  6. Hey, I'm a family of three also. I didn't mean you needed a larger one, just in my limited experience, was wondering if they are normally larger but this one was trimmed a lot
  7. Definately looks better tied. What's a general weight on one of those beasts? 16lb sounded kinda slim
  8. Just a huge chunk of untied beef as I've seen (only seen 2 up close though). I'm sure there was a reason he tied it...maybe he cut a bunch of fat off and that was why it was a tad dry. And the 2 I've seen were >22 lbs and >25 lbs. Wonder if he cut a bunch off?
  9. Hey Bobcat, why was it tied? Did you carve it and season the inside and tie it?

    Chuck roll

I've only done one...and it was great. Like foodsavered bags of pulled pork, it was decided we always need to keep on hand some foodsavered bags of pulled beef. But I did run out awhile back and just got the replacement hunk of beef today. It is huge If you are running late and can't cook, there are many many uses for a bag (or 2) of that delicious beef

    Chuck roll

Just went to Sam's at lunch and got a 25+ lb chuck role Can't wait to put that baby on. Maybe Friday evening after work.
  12. What? Does that mean it is? Sorry
  13. Re: Head scratchin We are never, NEVER to question any of these official tests. We don't have our PHD's in Lump or Ceramics, only the Whiz does. And I think RJ may have an honorary one (But secretely I also wonder)
  14. Why don't you sticky it somewhere's.
  15. $159, wow, didn't they used to be in the upper $200's or something. Finally, a Guru for us commoners
  16. I thought it was Mrs. Curly's tractor. You change your mind? Well, if you think I can get away with it, it is...otherwise it ain't
  17. I know the feeling...I'm waiting on my tractor...waiting ain't fun
  18. That's a cute lil lawn mover ya got there
  19. Re: Authentic Limoncello Hi Mike, liked the look of this recipe... However did some googling and figure you can't get it in Oz (and only in some states in the US?) Ah well have to use vodka... You prolly won't even get a buzz, I think that everclear is 180 proof or more. But just drink more, maybe it'll happen for you.
  20. Re: KK for My own I think I have a name, let me know what you think---Kobe'---the beef not the basketball player. Hmmm, that would make this a K KK!? Ah-oh, hope you aren't gonna drape that thing in a white cover
  21. Just keep it moral please...I have high expectations from you
  22. Bump. I Guess I'm slow, but how is this direct heat any more than the heat coming around the deflector direct heat
