They have dropped it off at the vet's...we'll see.

Dude, we already know you eat out all week while you're on the road, so you live mostly on other peoples cooking...what a dissapointment

Well, I like dogs a lot, but cats are pretty awesome animals too. But we keep finding these cats! The first one (Hershey) found us when we started building the cabin and hasn't left yet. Chubby chases her up trees constantly. The second one (Licorice) was about 4-6 weeks old, almost starved to death and came running up to me one night as we left church so we had to bring it home just to get it on it's feet and healthy (at least that was what I said). But Licorice would never run from Chubby, and still won't, so they are somewhat friendly. Chubby had his head laying by Licorice's bowl last night as Licorice ate, I think Chubby's a bit frustrated cause he can't chase something that won't run from him. I hope this new one is OK. But I couldn't leave it there to suffer, I would rather have seen someone squash it then to see it laying there struggling in the middle of the road like that. That kinda puts a hurtin on the heartstrings there

I was riding to work this morning and about to pass a small dead animal in the road when it lifted it's head up. So I pulled over and road back. There were cars riding over it, it was in the middle, so I had to park the bike and stop the traffic and as I went to pick up the kitten (about 4-6 weeks old) it started draging it's back end as hard and fast as it could to get away from me. He made it all the way across the road to the edge (now why didn't it do this earlier instead of lying there in the middle of the road). I guess he's a wild one and deathly afraid of people because when I picked him up, he bite the crap outa my finger. That dude has a will to live buddy, here he is maybe paralyzed, almost crushed by wheels dozens (maybe hundreds) of times and he still ain't gonna give up without a fight. I didn't know what to do with him, so I stuck him between my shirt and jacket and road back home. When I got in the bedroom to show my wife he was a bit milder, no more bites, but a lot of meows. So, he's laying in a kennel at home with a bowl of tuna and some water waiting for the vets to open up so my wife can take him in. I got a feeling my 8 yr old has talked his head off for the past couple of hours, she prolly won't leave his side for a second.

Curly replied to DennisLinkletter's topic in KK Announcements
Maybe you should put in an order with Dennis and start trying his stuff out while your waiting on the other stuff -
Yeah really, I know professors like to talk an all, but we're kinda like kindergardners around here and we do like the pictures.

Keep a close eye on them...they may get swiped. But you're right, can't see them wearing out.

Yeah, I always do 2 just for the sake of time and fuel. Not much more time to prepare and put away the bounties of the 2.

Poor Smokey Joe, he's gonna be ignored now

DJ, move this to the Jokes section. Dude, 2 racks of babybacks for $55 Don't worry JD, won't be to much longer and you can remove that link from your favorites...and hopefully from your memory.

Sweet looks like that spot was made for the KK. Only thing I'd worry about is somebody building a step on the other side of the wall so's they could reach over and steal stuff off the grill. Watch out, them neighbors do look hungry

Re: Doctors mess up a good story Shoot, that's just doctor mumbo-jumbo. Part a that feud (and it got re-triggered a hundred times after times of peace) was over a pig. Somebody was getting the KK hot and he couldn't find his pig, when he did, one a his mortal enemies was eaten it in a bbq samich I reckon they didn't call that man Devil Anse fer nothin. Rage desease, sheesh man, ever thing is a desease now, nobody ever has to be accountable for anything they do anymore cause they had a desease I do suspect corn likure had something to do with some of it

Re: Man that hurts That's funny man, cause I was good friends with a McCoy when I was in the service. And I lived awhile in Pike county Kentucky where that feud took place. And yep, that steak was a dang good one.

Well, I cooked a couple of ribeyes on Saturday. The temp was taking a long long time to climb so I pulled the bottom damper out and we had a mountain of dust down there. So I raked it out (man that's so much easyier being able to drag it right out) and the temp started to climb like normal. I let it get to about 700 and put the 2 ribeyes on there and walked inside to set the timer on 4 minutes. So when the timer went off I went back and it was on 200 degrees again. Well, I forgot I had everything wide wide open because the temp wasn't climbing...so it was really on about 1000 or so. So I flipped the steaks and shut er down and just let it dwell for about 4 minutes on the second side. That's some good steaks man. See that bowl of green stuff on the side, I've never been able to figure out what that's for, I reckon it's a garnesh or somethin but it shore looks purdy setting there by the beef don't it. I hate it we always throw it away after the meal but I've let them sit overnight a few times to see if they would make the next meal more colorful but they get all wilty and all, so we just make new ones for each meal...people says it's what the city folk do all the time. That ole knife is a Forgecraft hi-carbon knife. Sharpens up razor sharp with any of those drag-through sharpeners. I wouldn't trade it for one of those fancy Japanese things I've heard so much about. Well, mostly cause it's been in the family so long and I know of at least 2 people that's been killed with it. Yeah, those are some memories there man.

That's so cool stuff, especially the ballistic stuff.
