  4. Going from a Weber to a kk isn’t getting your feet wet, it’s going from grasshopper to master in one step. If you can remotely control a Weber, the kk will dam near control itself, which it does actually. Congrats, and as already stated, pic are required. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I got into a “discussion” on Facebook with someone who was convinced that brisket tasted like pot roast. Naturally I said he’d never had good brisket, and naturally he said he had. His next comment was the telling part. He essentially said that for all the work and effort brisket takes, he’d rather do pork, it’s much simpler. That said it all to me. My response was that was the problem...good beef, good fire, salt and pepper, done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Personally, I think two KK’s is the answer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Mac, why am I not surprised at how beautiful your home is? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I think the FireBoard comes in two packages, I got the lesser exspensive of the two, plus the fan adapter cable. I believe it has two food probes, and one ambient probe. The guru fan I have is the pit viper, a 10 cfm find that fits the port in your grill. If this is your plan, I believe you’ll be happy, it should do what you want. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. The FireBoard is capable of control, but you have to buy their adapter cable, and a fan that will fit in the guru port in the grill. I’ve had the older cyberq for quite some time, and it works. That said , I recently had a WiFi issue at home, and I had to reprogram my cyberq...it’s a pain, so I ordered a FireBoard. My fan will work, so I’m good there. The talk is that the FireBoard is the big dog technology wise. You could always consider a flame boss 300, or the newer cyberq cloud, I think either is a good option. The next option is to order a FireBoard, the adapter cable, and a guru fan that will fit into the port on your grill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Happy late birthday Dennis, and Bruce!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. As said, a few bucks will likely help. That said, the grills roll quite easily on their own, provided a reasonably smooth surface. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BBQ Controllers

There are those on this forum that will tell you controllers are completely unnecessary, for the most part, they’re right. That said, I’m not one of them. I like my guru. It’s scratches my gadget itch, and give complete peace of mind on overnight cooks. The only issue I’ve had is one fan started getting noisy, replaced it, no other issues ever. It’s a cyberq btw. 13. I usually go to the ford/Lexus comparison. They’ll both get you there, but wow! What a difference!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Temps

Don’t ever let anyone tell you there’s a difference between grate and dome temps on a stable grill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Gary, you really don’t have much choice but to wrap in foil towel cooler. You can always reheat a bit in the oven when you get there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Doc, that is beautiful! Thanks for the info! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. My issue with RO is that I don’t like the smell...I really don’t like it. The premium fogo is good, I could live with it. I simply find the rockwood to be more consistent throughout the bag, plus it seems to be more neutral in the smell category. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
