Scored a hibachi today

Nice. That was my first hibachi grill before I got the Konro. I still have it tucked away on the bottom BBQ shelf. Works just like my Konro only smaller.

That looks great @Aussie Ora.  A table top grill can be great fun - food closer to the fire and easy access to play with your food.  What more could you ask for? A AUS$50 deal, that's what.

Very similar indeed the only difference i see is the lip on the grate .that's why they were putting the skewers on length ways mine is flat .its a fun little unit to have rather than asking up Ora or the jnr to do 6 kebabs

Looks pretty damn close to my hibachi, too! I don't use it enough to spend the money to upgrade to the Konro.

I tend to use up small pieces of lump in it, too. Mainly to help start the binchotan, which burns hotter, longer and without any strong odor. Plus, it's like cocochar - I can take out the pieces and put them in the KK to smother them for reuse in the next cook.
