tony b
Chicken looks seriously tasty. What's the green stuff in the marinade?

CeramicChef
@Homepro01 - now that's some kind of goodness sitting on that grill! Congrats and kudos! How about that recipe for the chicken marinade? Thanks in advance.
Homepro01
Thanks everyone for the kudos. The food for Memorial Day was delicious. I don't participate in the forum as much as I should and wanted to share some of the fun I have with my KK. You guys are always so generous with your time and knowledge. Tonyb, The green stuff is a combination of parsley, chives and rosemary from the herb garden Ken, You ask the tough question,. I just make these things up when I am in the kitchen. I used Lemon juice and zest, chives, parsley, Rosemary, garlic, shallot, salt, peppercorns and Habanero Olive oil. I blend it in the vitamix until smooth. I let the chicken marinate for about 8hours. I tend to use tough birds, stewing hens or a breed similar to French bresse so they can handle an acidic marinade for a while. The grill was at 275 if I remember correctly. I rarely go up to 300 these days. Edited June 4, 2016 by Homepro01
tony b
Thanks. Sounds like you cook a lot like me - LOL! I tend to just experiment and toss stuff together - whatever pops into my head. Your marinade sounds a bit like a chimichurri sauce, with an extra heat kicker with the habanero oil.
CeramicChef
@Homepro01 - I see you cook like I do … a little of this, a little of that, …. I know that most of what I cook has a recipe someplace in the recesses of my mind, but I only use that as a basis. Whatever you're doing, keep it up because it sure seems to be working! Kudos to you. I've been sitting in a hospital all dadgummed day (I'm fine, I'm supporting a Friend) and you post this!? That is some kind of excellent cook! And yes, I stuck my thumb in the icecream just to make certain it was as good as it looked! It was BETTER! Another wonderful cook, @MacKenzie! Kudos, kudos, kudos! CeramicChef
My friend's son's girlfriend (geez that sounds convoluted!) was having a difficult delivery of her first child, a son. Mom, baby, and friend are all doing well. Thanks!
tinyfish
@CeramicChef I'm glad everyone is doing well. MacKenzie
I'm not so sure, CC, it was clearly only one sample of that ice cream was stolen but we have 2 claiming the dirty deed.
