Puff arrived

Hi all!

Puff finally arrived to our temporary housing here in South Korea (first one in Korea according to Dennis :D ). I had arranged transport via our service provider, and insisted that Puff would be lifted on to our terrace by a crane. I had to do quite some convincing. So the guys arrived to the house

They showed an eager greater than me to unpack Puff, even before the lift.. They pointed at the lid handle, and claimed that they would use one sling around Puff. I managed to convince them otherwise  :smt014

My son, and most likely the next owner of Puff, is very eager to see whats inside the crate.

Finally set up at present location. The thermometer was forgotten in the shipment, so DHL is working on that now. What a great looking piece of goods this is! The wife think its too large, much larger than the pictures shows, but thats to late now   :supz:

I did the burn in as well. Slowly up to 375F and kept it there for a while. Raised it to 500-550F for two+ hours. I could smell the 'paint'. Discovered a small area that came loose, but Dennis has given me the method for fixing it. I will do this in the first cook. Busy work wise, hope to do first one tomorrow or Friday. Will post pictures!!

Thanks for looking, and sorry for all the pictures.

Hankvon, Puff is absolutely gorgeous, stunning. Great pixs and your son is anxious too. I'll be watching for your first cook pixs  :hello1:

BTW, I love the name you picked for the KK :happy11:

Congratulations on Puff looks like a beauty. Can't say I've ever seen a bbq flying. If you had some pork in there I could finally tell my wife I've seen a pig fly over the moon.

What size KK is that a 23" or 32" hard to tell.

I'm waiting on my KK still a week or two away from Toronto. Its is getting close, the ship is at the Vancouver port being unloaded.

Nice post! And oh the memories your son will have for 'round the campfire stories' years from now!

Welcome to the club and prepare to be dazzled :)

Hank - CONGRATS!  Welcome to the KK Family.  You are going to absolutely LOVE Puff!  I couldn't be happier for you.  This is a great day and I love seeing that little Tow Headed Son of yours getting used to using tools properly and I"m certain you'll teach him the secrets of the KK as time goes on!  Wonderful!  CONGRATS again!

Could you tell me what color this grill is? I can't tell if it's the matte black or the recently intoduced very dark blue. Whatever it is, I love it.
