ckreef Posted October 7, 2016 Report Posted October 7, 2016 Limited release, hand numbered bottles. Got me and a friend of mine a bottle of the IPA. Has an interesting flavor. Can't wait to try it on something. Maybe Sunday. Will have to go back and get a bottle of Ghost some time. 1 Quote
Pequod Posted October 7, 2016 Report Posted October 7, 2016 Interesting. Dizzy Pig is local and they have a store. Wonder if they're selling these there. Quote

You would hope so. This was a small hardware store with a decent BBQ section but they don't even sell Dizzy Pig. Just had a sample display and 3 bottles of both the IPA and Ghost. Quote

Let's you try something different. In the list of ingredients one of the items is spices. What exactly is spices? Something you could probably reproduce from raw ingredients but it would take some experimenting. Quote

Steve M Posted October 8, 2016 Report Posted October 8, 2016 Funny, I have both of those in my cabinet but haven't tried them and didn't even notice they were numbered: 1547 and 1835. My neighbor has a family connection through them and he gave me a bunch of different ones. He also told me the owner has a kk; I think it is the 32. 1 Quote

If you notice the /5000 is part of the label but somebody sat down with a pen and numbered them 1 to 5000 times 2 different rubs. Sure glad that wasn't my job. 2 Quote
tony b Posted October 8, 2016 Report Posted October 8, 2016 Our local distillery hand numbers all the single malt bottles. But most of these are single barrel releases, so there's only about 250 bottles in a batch. A far cry from 5000 bottles! 1 Quote
MacKenzie Posted October 8, 2016 Report Posted October 8, 2016 Tony, one of those bottles looks defective I think you should ship it to me. Quote
tony b Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 They are both "defective" now, as both have been opened and partially consumed. Quote
