Sharon
Hello all, first cook on our new rotisserie. A few challenges here. First the motor, clockwise and reswerwing the drive shaft and the basket. Used locktight between motor and basket and that did not help. Onto new fixes, thank you Tony, we reversed motor polarity and were able to get the rotisserie motor to work properly. Here are pics of our new chickie. She is a good sized girl, 5.75 lb., trying to get closer to a small sized turkey. Pronounced delicious! The

tony b
Glad to hear that you got it to work finally. We've all been there, a bit frustrating until you dial it in. Then, it's worth all the work and swearing to get a nice chicken like that!
Gnomatic
Chicken looks great! The roti cradle takes a bit to master, you're not alone. I did some test runs yesterday with a sack of taters, using the one piece motor shaft that spins the grill socket. It went much better this time. Got a few tweaks to make and do another tator spin and see if its ready for prime time ....
Sharon
Thanks for all your kind comments. Bruce, between the size of the bird, the fact that hubby kept peeking, and a cold rainy night, it took about 2 hours at around 335 degrees. Thinking of reverse searing a thick NY strip on the lower grill with split charcoal basket tonight, and slow cooking a nice salmon fillet tomorrow on Pleather. Wednesday she gets a day off in order be put back to work on Turkey Thursday!
