MacKenzie Posted August 14, 2017 Report Posted August 14, 2017 Smoked 2 slabs of pork back ribs tonight for 3 hours about 235F. Used the cold smoker with whiskey barrel wood. Still smoking after 3 hours. Ribs are done. Plated. Yes ketchup was involved with those fries. I think Aussie is in the neighbourhood. Biggest one I've seen around here and just look at that web.:( 6
Stile88 Posted August 14, 2017 Report Posted August 14, 2017 wow what a great cook mac i bet it was so delicious ... you can keep that spider your way lol 1
jgkite Posted August 14, 2017 Report Posted August 14, 2017 Amazing! Inspired to cook a rack of ribs soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
MacKenzie Posted August 14, 2017 Author Report Posted August 14, 2017 Go for it, jg, the KK keeps them moist and I find using the OctoForks shortens the cook and also keeps the moisture in the meat.
CeramicChef Posted August 14, 2017 Report Posted August 14, 2017 @MacKenzie - that's a beautiful rack of ribs. Wonderful cook. And I love your little dinner guest. I have a thing for ribs and spiders ... both are engineering marvels. Beautiful pics ... again ... as always. Kudos to ya. 1
Bruce Pearson Posted August 14, 2017 Report Posted August 14, 2017 Wow another Mac great meal looks yummy! With all the critters and birds you have around there don't think the spider will last long

MacKenzie Posted August 15, 2017 Author Report Posted August 15, 2017 I have discovered that leftover ribs that are just about room temp taste very good. 1
tony b Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 about the ketchup! Nice rack of ribs. I haven't done any yet on the OctoForks, but will give it a go now. And, YES, the spider can stay there! 2
MacKenzie Posted August 16, 2017 Author Report Posted August 16, 2017 about the ketchup! Nice rack of ribs. I haven't done any yet on the OctoForks, but will give it a go now. And, YES, the spider can stay there! The funny thing is the next morning I went thinking there might be an interesting pix but there was nothing no web and no spider. Just like it was never there. 1
