When I was in grad school we had a prof who owned a fishing business on Kodiak Island. We went up there, helped him build his log home, and attended seminars in the afternoon. Great learning experience. On the weekends we would go out on the fishing boats. A grand experience. Wile on this fishing boat we got very close to a polar bear swimming out in the ocean and a pods of orcas. Amazing animals, especially the orcas. The lights were on and someone was definitely home. Very intelligent animals who used cooperation to hunt and subdue their prey. Powerful and swift swimmers. Completely adapted to their environment and apex predators.

@Wobster - I will say this and then let you contemplate in peace ... I've never met anyone who regretted going big, but I've met numerous folks who regretted getting a smaller cooker and wished they had gone large. You'll find that your KK is a replacement for your kitchen oven. Ever hear anyone wish for a smaller oven in a kitchen? I didn't think so. Be well!
-
@Wobster - it's always better to have the size and use it occasionally than to need it and can't get it. Like @5698k, I have a 19" and love it. I also have the 32" KK BB and love it as well. The 19 is an incredible cooker. It does buttseasily. But if you ever want to do a large cook, a big brisket, 5-10 racks of ribs, 2-3 chickens, etc. then the 19 simply won't get the job done. You'll really appreciate and use the extra space of the 23. It's allows you to do more and different types of cooks. That's the 23's advantage over the 19. No matter which way you decide, you're in for the best tasting food you and your family will ever eat.

Wonderful looking burgers. Do you mix olives in the burger? Are the olives chopped fine? This sounds really interesting. Details please. Thanks in advance!

I've done baking pan chicken, but I've never shoved a Bundt Pan up a chicken's butt!

Aussie - that's one very nice cook. Ivemdone something similar with turkey breasts, garlic mashed potatoes, and sharp cheddar, but I think I like your rendition much better! Kudos on a beautiful cook.

Rectangular Baking Steel fit on upper grate of 23 Supreme?
CeramicChef replied to jarraa's topic in KK 411
I use my baking stone from Dennis all the time. It works better than any baking steel I've ever seen. I'd get the baking stone Dennis supplies before I'd ever buy a steel. Glad to see you up and feeling better, Dennis! -
