LOL - Yea it's hard to resist. I made a batch of salad dressing the other day. I then made a quick salad just so I could eat some salad dressing.

@Aussie Ora's package was in Australia on Friday. Should be any day now.

What's regular pepper?

Unfortunately all the good stuff was scarfed up. Only thing left was some potatoes and sausage. We tend to start with the basics and then add whatever else we can find for a resonable price. I don't think we've ever made the exact same version twice.

And on bad years they don't even have a harvest - just sayin - took @Aussie Ora a year and a half to get some berries to send our way due to drought. -
Nice knives and interesting sharpener. Work has a Christmas present random drawing for management people. The main office wraps a bunch of different presents and labels them with a number. You then pick a number out of a hat and see what present you get. This year I got a boxed knife. It's not a totally bad knife. Will use it as a travel knife when I go to my sister's house. She has a Henkle set that every knife has micro scalloped edges. What a total piece of crap those knives are. Henkle should be ashamed selling knives like that. Anyway I got lucky this year in the Christmas present draw.

Low Country Boil - a nice winter treat. The basic setup. The ingredients. Everything is added over time depending on how long they need to cook. This is at the end. Everything is down in there somewhere. What a great way to bring a little summer to a cold winter night.

Well there is 3 large goldfish down in there - LOL

Really great entry in the challenge. Very bright and tasty looking dish. -
I usually make the salad dressing in the Good Seasons dressing bottle you can get in most grocery stores (comes with Italian packets). I basically follow the lines on the dressing bottle and use regular OO not EVOO. Also I only use a half packet of the balsamic seasoning so I don't overpower the peach flavor.
-
That was the very last packets I've been able to find. I even went to 3 different stores while in FL trying to find more. I still have a few packets at home Also just to fess up - I bought the double sized bottle of Peach Balsamic for myself - two smiles for double sized bottle LOL
-
To be honest I never considered extreme cold weather. Might have to do with it being 80*+ and sunny in FL when I bought it Fortunately it's a really thick bottle so hopefully it will be okay.
-
@Jon B. It makes a really tasty oil and vinegar dressing. The trick is finding the right "other" ingredients. Good Seasons use to sell a Balsamic salad dressing seasoning packet. Can't seem to find that version any more. Will keep our eyes open for a care package.
-
It cleared Canada customs so the hard part is over. Shouldn't be long now.
-
I knew you would like that. It is "da shizzle." It's so good it goes quick if you're not careful.

Great duck cook. It's been a long time since I've cooked duck. Was ready to jump in the Lear Jet and head your way. I was loving this post until you mentioned the meater. Wanted to throw my phone to the ground and stomp on it. Yea I'm still bitter about being ripped off. OK, rant over.
-
@Aussie Ora Yea they have the package. They wanted me to take a survey. I almost did. I wanted to tell them they needed to take lessons from USPS Tracking - LOL For all the crap people give USPS they do have the cheapest international shipping and the tracking usually follows it all the way to the destination.

I was drinking peach Bellini's Christmas eve. Of course I always add a shot of vodka to the glass to give it a bit more kick. After drinking enough of them to finish the full sized bottle of prosecco I was definitely in the festive spirit.
-
@MacKenzie I'm sure you will love it. I delivered it to the post office in Port Charlotte (where my sister lives). I'm sure by tomorrow or the next day it'll start moving along. Since I finally got down to FL for the good stuff I couldn't leave you all out. Let's see some off the wall uses. I made a peach balsamic daiquiri 2 nights ago

@Tyrus glad you enjoyed the BBQ sauce. We love white balsamic vinegars and use them a lot. The peach white balsamic makes a really great oil and vinegar salad dressing. Merry Christmas.
-
You got that right. Give me a few days and I'll have a tracking number. I've been waiting 1 year and 1 month to get back to my sister's house.
-
Interestingly enough it does say Veronica Foods on the back. Not sure if that's the vinegars, bottles or both. I do know they have all these vinegars in 3 gallon SS kegs and will bottle you up some straight from the kegs. Then they have some type of machine that corks it and wraps and seals the top like a bottle of wine. The peach is awesome and can be sipped straight from the bottle. I bought two new flavors to try. The orange vanilla tastes like an orange Creamsicle and should be great as a desert topping. The key lime is very limey and could probably used in a number of different ways. If you can get any of these give them a try you won't be disappointed.

Down in FL at my sister's house for Christmas vacation. Did a little shopping at my favorite store. I'll probably get them in the mail next week. Yummy
