You probably paid for international priority mail which is also why it cost so much. I always ship to Aussie the cheapest way possible. 2 boxes ago (a really heavy box) was the most expensive shipping to him at just over $100. The box I sent him pictured in this thread was $75.

Awesome can't wait to see what comes. Interesting, I've never been given an expected delivery date on anything I sent to Aussie. Can't see how that delivery date is going to work since it still has to go through Australia Post. Just curious did you send Aussie's priority international?

Now that's funny. I saw that on the customs declaration. When I opened the box and saw everything it just totally slipped my mind. Glad you reminded me. Your vent settings will seem impossibility small. 1/8 turn on the top and the smallest sliver on the bottom. Also be super fast putting the pork belly on or your coals will flair a bit with an overall net gain in temperature. Also plan on up to two hours to get it up to temp and "heat soaked" at 180*

@Aussie Ora Chris, my friend you outdid yourself. So many awesome flavors. I'm going to save one of the bottles for next time I visit my sister (hopefully not a year from now). I already have some recipes swirling in my head. And I also have some original Aussie art

Make love to your woman. Start taking shots straight from the bottle. Fire up the KK and cook the very best protein you have. Even if it's not a direct hit on you, I doubt hiding in your house is going to save you from the fallout.

To add to what Jon said: The bag of salt supplied with the potatoes was about 1 1/3 cups. I used 3 quarts of water, 2/3 cup of salt and a little over 2 lbs of potatoes. Pulled after cooking left a fine film of salt on them. Served as is and fork mashed them on the plate with some butter.

@tony b I still use my thick refractory diffuser in my 16". Used it tonight when cooking my honey balsamic, rosemary, carrots.

KK Rotisserie Cornish Hen, served with honey balsamic, rosemary, carrots and NY Salt Potatoes. Awesome meal for sure. An interesting boiled potato cook. The salt as supplied was super fine ground. Wasn't overly salty.

Unfortunately mail does not deliver on Monday due to Martin Luther King holiday. Should have it on Tuesday. UPS did send me a delivery email for Monday. Not sure what package that is (I'm expecting a few). This should be a fun week.
