  1. Another tasty dinner, Tony. The good corn is coming.
  2. I was searing a sous vide tri tip tonight and put some more on to grill. Plated.
  3. @ Bruce, breakfast out with friends sounds absolutely perfect to me. @ Tony, this the first time I've tried them and I really do like them. There must have been a hundred or more in the bag. I put one in my smoothie too as I like it to have a little zip. I read where they are delicious roasted and lightly salted and served with drinks is delicious but you dip idea sound very tasty.
  4. It is a miserable cold wet day so I thought I'd light my fire with this breakfast. The brownbread toast is dripping with local maple syrup, roasted shishio peppers, and KK bacon. Now for a double espresso.
  5. Bruce, if you move I'm sure there is way to get the KK to go with you.
  6. Wouldn't that be a wonderful experience. Wow, they just kept coming and coming.
  7. Bought a bag of shishito peppers from Costco the other day, new to me, and I'm liking them a lot. Haven't gotten the 1 in 10 that will set my mouth on fire yet but I'm sure I'll get it before the bag is empty.

  10. It is important that you do not bend the tubes that are on the draft door because that will buckle the plate with the vents on it making a tight fit impossible.
  11. I picked up 3 bags of Lumber Jack pellets on Mon. and just now had a chance to try the Cherry. It is still burning after 2 hours on the first and only lighting. Works so much better than anything else I've tried. Picked up cherry, apple and hickory. Smoking some cheddar cheese using the cherry just to see how it goes. Thanks to everyone who recommended this brand. [emoji4] Cheese is just on the KK and reading to absorb some of that cherry smoke. After 2 hours of cherry smoke- There will be no tasting for weeks if not months while the smoke mellows. Just took the smoker and set it on the grill and closed up the KK. Later when the pellets are out I will clean it up.

  17. Wanabxtrm, I totally understand the, dilemma. It is hard to believe everything we write about how great the KK is. I can assure you there is no exaggeration, it is stunning, over engineered and even when you see one in person you will still be amazed. The food moves to the next level for flavour. When you contact Dennis you will have an unpressured experience and receive expert helpful and honest advice. That's what I got.

  19. I pretty much do a Pequod mentioned although I just feed my starter with regular bread flour and water. 100g starter + 100g bread flour + 100g water.
