  1. Thanks, PJ. Those beets were fresh from my garden and the peas are also from the same garden. I made, as I also ways do, a hot chicken sandwich from the leftovers. Tomorrow more sour dough on the KK as I've just used the last pieces for today's dinner. Plated.
  2. Wilbur, it took most of the cook but I didn't let the KK heat sink at all. If I remember correctly I put the chicken in when the grill hit 400F and the top was open for some time while I fitted the rotisserie in so the temp went to 425F and then within 15 mins. I closed down the vent some and after half an hour I closed them down significantly. The cook last about 2.75 hours and the temp was 350F but I didn't check it much in between. I will do this method next time and pay more attention as I did like the results.
  3. Thanks Yes, I do like big chickens because I want lots of leftovers. There are just so many tasty things you can do with leftover roast chicken. One of my favs is a hot chicken sandwich and that might just happy today;)
  4. I love a good poutine, they look wonderful.
  5. Did a 7 pound rotisserie chicken today. Started hotter than usual for me, 425F and after half an hour started to close down the vents to drop the temp. to 350F. Sprinkled inside and out with granulated garlic, onion powder and black pepper with some summer savory added inside the cavity. Roasted. Plated.
  6. I'm glad that you pointed that out and I should have been more attentive. Thanks for keeping me on track.
  7. I like a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich too.
  8. ckreef, thanks for that. I think you are safe I've had my fill of nachos for a little while.

  10. ckreef, that looks like it must have been very tasty.
  11. I love chicken pot pie, awesome, ckreef.
  12. Hogsfan, that brisket looks extra tasty. You must be very happy with that cook.
  13. No and we are pretty friendly too. Just give me a heads up so I can be sure to have the ingredients on hand. Thanks, everyone. BTW, I forgot to mention that there was a nice smoky flavour to the nachos that you don't get from an oven.
  14. tinyfish, you sure are on a roll today, great grill marks on a great steak cook.
  15. tinyfish, I bet it doesn't taste funny, it looks awesome, makes my mouth water looking at it.

  17. Oops, Tony, I forgot your broccoli.
  18. Found a new to me recipe and it required bean sauce. Made that with onion, pepper, black pepper, chili powder, red wine, garlic, oregano and pinto beans. Next is to put a little dollop on each of the nacho chips. Next add the onions, jalapeño pepper, and mushrooms. Add tomato pieces and cheddar cheese and Monterey cheese. Now on the grill it all goes, 400F for 10 mins or so. Done. Plated. and up close- Dip in a little sour cream and devour.
  19. Thanks, everyone. I liked the meat so much that I think the next time I make an ordinary meatloaf that I'll use the same recipe.
  20. Chicagobill, you are going to love that grill and just wait until to see it in real life, beautiful. What excitement there must be at your house this week. :)

  23. It sounds like you have some time to sit back and have 2-3T of wine.
  24. I guess I should have been more specific as to where the 2-3T were going.
