  1. Elaine, welcome from the other side of the country:) You will no doubt have yours up and running long before me. My papers arrived in Montreal this morning so I'm optimistic that I'll hear something next week as to when my grill will be delivered. Which KK did you order? Don't forget to take lots of pixs this will be the one and only chance.
  2. I'm going to Costco tomorrow and I thought I'd check them out. I think I might caramelize some onions in the PC, while I'm in the mindset. Have you done onions?
  3. No, I bought then at the supermarket. They were organic and I meant to get some more this afternoon so I could try Tony's PC method and forgot. Tomorrow:)
  4. Howard, that is a fantastic ending and I'm so happy for your son :) Thanks for letting us know, I've been wondering what happened.
  5. I think I'll give your method a try too, maybe I'll get a chance this afternoon. Thanks, Tony:)
  6. Put garlic bulbs in a garlic roaster add water until it is 1/4 inch deep, cover. Roast at 325F for 1 hour. Cut bulbs in half and squeeze out garlic cloves. Using the back of a spoon press through a fine sieve. Ready to add water and steam. Done and cut in half. Creamed and ready to use for pizza/spaghetti sauce or garlic bread:)
  7. Cookie, it sound like you have a wonderful celebration planned:)
  8. Or I guess you could just coat one side but for sure the clarified butter makes a huge difference:)
  9. Thanks, Bryan, I can use that:)
  10. Lots of room on that grill, 12 steaks doesn't even begin to fill it.
  11. Looking forward to those vacation shots.
  12. Davey, chicken and veggies, both from the KK, must have tasted wonderful.
  13. BigLazy, a slice of that tasty looking pizza for my breakfast would start my day off perfectly.
  14. Tony, you might have the upper hand right now, best you enjoy it while you can because my KK will be here before too much longer. BTW, I'm glad you gathered up the energy to prepare that stellar meal
  15. Tony, this was pay back for your pizza post
  16. Sous vide at 132F for 5 hours. Dried it off and add a steak rub of your liking by actually putting the rub on a plate and pushing the steak into the rub, trying to give a good coating of rub, then sear. Put a big drop of clarified butter on top of the steak, this is critical to the final flavor- The interior-
  17. Tony, I don't usually tell people about my brothers, eh
  18. Wow, it is gorgeous, and your friends have quite the sense of humour. Didn't get a shot of your wife as she saw "The Tank" for the first time, did you?
  19. Tony, those pizzas look wonderful. I am not sure that I could have restrained myself
  20. Most people take their partners on the honeymoon;) But considering you cook in a 10 inch electric skillet.....
  21. Some vacation, no KK!
  22. I suppose I should explain - it seems that a lot of us Canadians end everything we say with - eh. Great day isn't it, eh?
  23. It is held up waiting for paper work but that is on the way. Not sure if the KK is in Montreal, that is where the paper work went or if it's still in Vancouver. Let's hope the KK is in Montreal which means it's half way across the country. Today is a national holiday, Canada Day so no one is working. Maybe late next week or surely no more than 2 weeks. Thanks for asking:) Happy Canada Day! And one more for a smile:) eh?
  24. dstr, this method will allow you to have wings more often for the same amount of cholesterol and calories, at least that's the theory I'm working on
