I am a designer and artist and there is a cohesive look to the line. Aesthetically, all of the models have nice lines and ratios, and what make them even better is they are highly functional art. The Komodo Kamado is a superbly designed product that is a nice edition to any outdoor kitchen or patio.
I can see the advantage of a larger roti basket for a hog, several chickens, turkeys or whatever. Last summer I did a 32lb pig on my 32"KK (see photo) using an indirect method, a larger roti would have been nice.
Here is a photo of our Easter dinner. Lamb two-ways; rack of lamb roasted on the KK, and braised leg-of-lamb (Italian style). Two cooks and it was delicious.
I don't think so. The whole idea, as understand it, was to create the most accurate KK branded utilitarian instrument, color wouldn't add much, just my opinion.
