The coals were only in the back half of the fire box and the foil is to catch any drips. It did not restrict any air flow.

Decided to do a couple of chickens on Saturday. Here they are all set to cook. No finished pics the crowd was too hungry to wait. It was however very good.

Good looking brisket. We did one about two weeks ago. It was about the same size (sorry no pics ). We did the coffee/cardamom rub. Had a Brazilian student over, with my daughter and her boy friend (they are carnivores), two other folks, plus my wife and I — there was nothing left.
