  1. well those that follow my posts on the KG... my wife has put her foot down with respect to the gasser. That puppy aint going anywhere lol! that is her go to grill when I am working. So with the 23/32 combo coming... I am struggling to figure out what will work. I love my KJs and have been a proud owner for the past two years. It is a wonderful brand and a great company behind it. I think the jr. will stay with me no matter what I do. The more I read about the KK brand, the more I believe that these will be my go to grills ... Thanks for answering MacKenzie... you're comments solidified what I was already thinking
  2. Great looking cook Wilbur!!! I add one last step to mine now and bring to a boil 1/4 cup of cider vinegar and 1/4 cup apple juice with two tbsp of brown sugar. Once pork is pulled I pour that over top of the meat... bam!!! You're bark is top notch right there
  3. ^^ I always use I could have crazy expensive hobbies or habits. Consider this one a win win for you !!! Mine was the same and gave up bothering
  4. Tinyfish consider Apollo and Artemis Google their story pretty cool
  5. oh man!! actually love that shake and bake!!! hmmmm.....
  6. good questions!! the double vent comes with newer models now standard. Its just a new vent system that can be purchased for older cookers. Dennis told me that it really isn't that big of a deal either way so I wouldn't worry about that. Gas port has a door at the back to insert it. I wanted mine removed from the 23s, so I had a new one cast. Dennis recommended me keeping it on the 32" for two reasons. Winter cooks I can pre heat with gas.. and more importantly I can remove that cover for cold smoking (better air flow). So I think keeping it is a good call. the probe hole has rubber plugs that seal it up when not in use. Your KK kit will have 5 extras apparently as well. I think personally for accessories rotisserie baking stone splitter basket (with extra basket optional. I think having a primary charcoal basket for the splitter to sit in is a great idea) Side tables if free standing double lined drip pan (custom fit) as for the 23 or 32 I have nothing to compare to, however, I am thinking the 32 is pretty sweet!! But in the case, I really don't think that you can go wrong with either... or in my case... Both!!!
  7. if you don't win this challenge I think the ones in charge of the monthly challenge are corrupt !!!

    Airfryer

interesting. I always see the Tfal at costco and can't understand how it works. Perhaps it is time to grab one of these. Any benefits of the phillips over the tfal???
  9. No totally. I have been searching and searching for name combos. Initially when they were matching 23s I had picked Apollo and Artemis... things were good and then....... the change up to the 23/32 combo. No longer twins. I began reading up more on Indonesian culture and mythology Came into the topic of the dragon which many others have. The mythical dragon for the Indonesian culture is the Naga Dragon. Googled more into the Naga Dragon and learned about the story behind the Naga Dragon and learned of the story of the relationship between the Naga Dragon and the Pearl. Great story, so the 32 and 23 will be known as Naga and Pearl. tell me what you all think???
  10. had a few too many this weekend!! nothing beats a nice cold beer on a hot summer day!! Side Note: I have found my names for my 23/32 combo!!
  11. red stick........ you know that you are going to do this!!! I say 2 weeks!! thats what ckreef gave me... I lasted a day
  12. Awesome set up!!! Congrats on the score can't wait to see some of you're cooks!!!
  13. Red stick I know you have a big joe and a jr. I believe. I think a 23" will be great. I think between the grill and the upper grill I saw wilbur do 6 racks at once. I can't see needeing more than that As for the grill space and someone correct me if I am wrong but the 23 is 23" wide and 22" deep. You really aren't losing that much space from that of a big joe. Also big joe total grilling space is 452 sq in and the 23" is 375 sq in plus 274 sq in upper grill and 329 lower grill So in reality you are comparing 452 vs 978 You can't tell me that a brisket won't fit on a 23" oval Shape grill opposed to a 24" round. I would order before the deals are gone brother!!!!
  14. Buddy welcome to the forum!!! You will love the group here!!! I'm glad that I was able to talk you into you're senses !!! That deal is far to good to pass up!!

  20. Great set up. Curious... I have heard rumour that you were aide hard primo user. As many know I aka KJ die hard so here is my question... Do you still use/love the primo?? And will you eventually replace it with another kk?? I ask because I am struggling for reasons to justify owning 5 kamados and a gasser. Thanks
  21. I like mackenzies suggestion lapis not la la. But I also like saphira. Great names either way
