  1. Dang, what a beautiful back yard! For the burn in, I would just pick up some lump from home depot or something although the coffee char would work fine. Royal oak works well.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Looks like you're up and running great already.
  3. Great spot, looks like the entire yard was designed for it
  4. It all looks good and those ribs look fantastic
  5. That's a fine way to kick off the summer
  6. If you ever try it, make sure it is spanish mackerel. some other species are way too oily and fishy tasting for me.
  7. Nice plate! I like spanish mackerel and that is a tasty looking cook.
  8. I just ordered a shiny new basket. Thanks for the link @tony b

    Ribs

    Great job on those ribs
  13. Oh great. Now we all have cravings for potato sticks. Nicely done
  14. Nice! I love how they look when done.
  15. I forgot I use an external app for the cyberQ. If you're thinking about cyber cook, I don't think it will export in excel but rather a pdf is the only option. I still find it really useful though. You can record the ambient temperature, charcoal used, type of meat, etc. There is also an are a to add notes about the cook. I usually use this to record weight or brand/type of meat. This link has some pretty good screenshots of the app: Cyber Cook I can email you the report from the brisket cook if you would like to see what it looks like.
  16. That is the one I use as well.
  17. I have it saved on my ipad. When I get home, I'll walk through the steps and get you the info.
  18. It sure helps with planning when doing something like a brisket or pork butt. I still allow some extra time but if necessary, I could crank the temps up some too. The cyberQ will provide graphs and export the data. It is pretty cool to see the stall graphed out.
  19. Thanks Paul. For those long cooks, I use the cyber Q and it makes it pretty enjoyable. Also saves some useful data for the next one.
