Poochie
I don't have my Komodo yet and this was all done on the stove. It's an easy lunch to make so that's why I'm sharing. The main base for it is coconut milk. I won't tell the whole recipe here but here's a few pictures. Peel the shrimp and have them ready to go. They are the last thing in the pot. Then cook it for 10 minutes tops. Here's a view of it ready to serve. It's yellow because of the Turmeric in it. And now plated and ready to eat. It has shrimp, broccoli, mushrooms, fresh snap beans, red curry paste, fresh corn, green onions, coconut milk and turmeric. Total time to make is about 45 minutes tops. PRippley
Ha, ha! The southern Oregon Coast, otherwise fantastic, but alas the nearest Indian food is about 100 miles away, as far as I can tell. On the positive side, that's a reason for me to learn! ckreef
Me and Mrs skreef found an Indian, Pakistan grocery store the other day. We went in and slowly walked up and down every Isle. Very interesting array of fresh, frozen, and dry goods. All reasonably priced. They had an entire isle devoted to pre packaged spice mixes to make various dishes. That is where we decided to start since we have no idea what we are doing. We bought a few items and will go back for more. I think they thought we were crazy. Poochie
I'd brag if I was from Kentucky. I'm in Louisiana. We're usually tied with Mississippi for illiteracy, school dropouts, and low academic scores. Be proud!!

PRippley
My mom and Dad are KY natives but we moved to Wyoming when I was little, then met my husband who is an Oregonian... I would say we can't get any farther west but I saw him looking at pictures of condos in Hawaii on the Internet yesterday
