Recommended Posts

Thought I'd give the rotisserie a go tonight. I started by stuffing the chicken with carrots, onion and celery and then I rubbed the bird with a mixture of corn starch, Eat Barbeque rub and ground espresso. post-2313-0-87870400-1440109530_thumb.jppost-2313-0-59086000-1440109543_thumb.jp

I loaded the chicken into the one side of the cradle you will see why in the next picture. post-2313-0-68841000-1440109591_thumb.jp

I added some corn on the cob to the other side of the cradlepost-2313-0-09873500-1440109607_thumb.jp

Excellent cook.

You made me buy the motor and rotisserie. (that last one I have to call Dennis)

Please tell us how was your food.

It looks amazing.

The food came out tasting great. There's just something so cool about using a rotisserie inside a kamado let alone a Komodo. I wish I could spin a prime rib all the time. I have to see how some baby back fit in the cradle.

Tinyfish, looks perfectly delicious:) I have yet to have fresh corn on the cob but soon;) One question how long was the corn on?

I cooked it for about 40 minutes indirect with a small pizza stone below from my Jr kamado.

Looks delicious. I like that you loaded it up with 2 different items. Great cook.

My motor arrived yesterday. Just gotta pull that trigger and order the roti basket from Dennis. Wallet is trying to recover from the last purchase of the dual dial draft door and new pizza stone!!

tinyfish, interesting putting espresso on chicken. I've never tried that one, only on beef.

tony b, mine should arrive any day!  I added the rotisserie to my purchase as well after all of the great feeback here.  I can't wait to spin something and see how it turns out.  My first dish will be gyro's !!!!!!!
