Rak
Yesterday was low and slow, today was hot and quick Firstly, thank you JonB for the coffee rub. I really enjoyed it! Warmed up the KK and got my sweet potato and veggies cooked. Then cooked the steak. Few things in life are as good looking as a steak on the grill IMO And dinner is served! Quick and easy. DennisLinkletter
Nailed that.. The texture on that steak is awesome.. I'm finding that the texture from Sous Vide can get a bit smooth, slick and odd.. Maybe I need to shorten my SV time.

Jon B.
I'm finding that the texture from Sous Vide can get a bit smooth, slick and odd.. Maybe I need to shorten my SV time. Dennis, MacKenzie was talking about holding a Sous Vide, Baking and Photography class in the middle of February in the great northeast tundra of Canada. Other things you will learn & experience: - How to properly shovel snow from around your KK, - Experience that -40* Fahrenheit is the same as -40 Celsius - How to hitch up the dog sled to go buy lump - How to defrost a bird bath and beer in -40* weather - Proper deck shoveling methods - How to properly heat soak a KK in -40* weather in your slippers - Proper camera settings for white out conditions - Snowboarding into town behind the mail jeep/half-track - How to shovel 5 feet of snow from the roof while cooking on the KK. I know she would love to have you come and speak to the group!! We could make it the first annual KK owners meeting.

MacKenzie
This pix is from last winter of the heated birdbath. Notice you have to shovel to get to it so that you can keep the water level up. Here I am putting out birdseed. I'm sure there is a place for people like me but they won't let me play with fire. I better stop this, it's Rak steak post. Sorry I got carried away, Rak.
