Salt Block Haddock

The fishman was in town at a local gas station and because I know this will be extra fresh I stopped buy and bought a package.

All that salt block talk clicked in and I put mine in Little Ms. Pebbles and let it heat soak at 425F for nearly an hour.

Then added the fish.

Steve, it is not one of my favourite tools. It does work very well but I find things pretty salty for my tastes. I tend not to use a lot of salt. Perhaps next time I will blot the bottom on a paper towel and that should get rid of some of the extra saltiness.:)

I would think it would add salt to whatever was cooking, but maybe someday I will try a salt block.  Odd, that 2 days ago my wife went to Bed Bath & Beyond and when she came out she said she almost purchased one and could not decide on a large on or a small one.
