  1. Sanny is correct. We know you like to tweak with the design in the pursuit of perfection, but at this point that area of the KK is perfected right? Great idea on the tables being removable and doubling as a tray to carry meat, etc back and forth to the kitchen. You have cooked a few times. ...or does your meat fly to the KK?
  2. Very nice Dennis....Does this mean no changes in that area of the KK in future models? I like the look much better than a tile side table.
  3. Firemoney wrote: Yep...she will soon be stuffing $1 bills into the bands...oh thats right it is the other cooker that wears the bands on the outside! Looks like she will just have to stuff it in the handle.
  4. Tony cooks with the gas accessory, perhaps he has done pizza and could share his opinion.
  5. why do you think he has to wear the barrel in the avatar.
  6. Dennis....I certainly don't know quantitites but there were people waiting for the elusive #11 that he claimed to have but never heard of him selling any. I think a lot of people got tired of waiting on the #9's.
  7. Having both a KK and a K7, I can tell you the operational ease of opening and closing the KK is far superior to the K, not to mention the absence of the unattractive prop tubes. Good job Dave. Oprah could put this on her list of favorite things!

Somewhere here on the forum is a discussion of how to break down into two pieces. It starts with loosening the tension on the spring in the back.
  9. wow...our very own Komodo celebrity. I expect to see you on Oprah next!
  10. Possibly a forum mis-step here, but admin is probably pre-occupied with Mother's day festivities! FM...I hope you penned something equally creative for your mom or wife!
  11. For those who have outdoor kitchens or a setup where there are items to either side of the KK the front to back does make it easier to clean the grates and use the grill floss.
  12. Were they still attached to the live pig? If so' date=' I bet Gerard would not be the only one squealing about it! [/quote'] she was pretty funny when she tried to hide them away for later. I would keep them in the garage refrig and she would go stand expectantly in front of the refrigerator.
  13. When my german shepherd was young and wanting to chew I would give her pigs feet. At the time they were very cheap at the local store. But Gerard might tell me that was a bad thing to do. Yeah she was spoiled terribly.
  14. Majestic...your avatar reflects you may be drinking 'the Kool-aid' Sorry off topic. Great plugs Dennis.....thanks
  15. Congratulations....you are taking the plunge. There are some really nice colors and it will be difficult to select. As I recall you were doing a patio project...is the 'nursery' complete now?

Reminds me of a funny scene from FRIENDS when Monica tried to rationalize an unflattering photo of her as a teenager by saying the camera added 10 lbs. Chandler responded with: How many cameras were on you?

Sounds like you need an agent....If you need some 'stand-in' hands, Syzygies might be available....but i think he is union.
  18. I think DJ was the one posting this information.
  19. So what was your first cook on the KK (I know you previously cooked on a POSK)....ready to make any comparisons yet? I'm shamelessly entertained by the comparisons.
  20. It has been very quiet here this weekend. Perhaps many of you were in Uruguay at the world's biggest BBQ: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080413/od_ ... becue_dc_1
  21. So who was number 20000? Curly turned into a lurker so I know it isn't him (but I really miss him). Big congratulations Dennis....well done.

Thanks Dennis...I now remember when you announced that pan, but I can't remember the answer to the question about the pattern on the bottom of the pan. Is it laser cut or just a design in the bottom of the pan. I know it does not make sense that a drip pan would have holes in the bottom of the pan.... I do have the one pictured with the heat deflector seated inside of it. I will PM you
  23. paul....change your phone number...she sounds like a lunatic. Actually, when I hear always out of money and personality change, I think substance abuse. Anyone narcisstic enough to invite herself to dinner, show up two hours late without phone call and demand her food is not a friend. Don't let yourself be abused that way, you deserve common courtesy. She consistently treats you that way which is indicative she is exceptionally self-centered and abusing your friendship. You are far too kind for her.

the SS pan I received is more the size of a pie pan. It is only about one inch deep.
