  1. Deej...that is perfect thanks. Sanny...I hope you have a hot tub or jacuzzi tub to soften the aching body.
  2. My efforts for the day.....Two pork butts and a pork shoulder...Deej please re-size if I mess this up...
  3. Deej...that looks so good...have you done one on the rotis before? Is it faster? I have not gotten the rotis equipment yet, but you are definitely inspiring me.
  4. Saucier....certainly not meant to be harsh.....Sanny did have a bad flashback incident and it is important to warn people of that. Problem is even though many people are told it eventually does get them, me included although not as much as what happened to Sanny.
  5. Sanny....I think Demi Moore and Julia Roberts cause of the multiple personality thing.....I guess that would include Sally Field. This is truly a brilliant idea on several levels. It should include Sanny after the flashback as a warning!

    Steak Night

I'm with you glenn....1 1/2 inch ribeye should not be overdressed.
  7. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is indeed a difficult time.
  8. Randawg....be sure to check out the section from the index that people post their location and usually a picture> Hopefully there is one not too far. LeadDog let me view his. I also had the competitors' model and seeing how many others who had owned that one and had bought one of these and found them far superior was a great selling point for me. Your other criteria is how much you want to spend, frequency of use, and type of use. I got the ultimate because I didn't want to be regretting something I missed later. Perhaps someone who has ordered other packages will give you their opinions.
  9. Hi Jeff...did you pick a color yet for a KK? Inquiring minds want to know!
  10. Not sure....I thought everything that was in inventory...but Dennis will need to clarify.
  11. There were several of the Dark Terra Blue units either here or due to arrive soon. Free shipping, wife agreement, and its Christmas time...How much more rationalization do you need pal? Go for it....You can give the other BBQs for Xmas presents!
  12. The dark terra blue is my favorite in the blue group! Your part of the deal is a no brainer.....you will like the KK so much you won't miss the other grills!
  13. That is a great idea....That would be helpful.... What hunk could star in it?
  14. Randawg....Show your wife side-by-side pictures of a nice tiled unit and the green egg....I'll bet she picks the tiled unit. Also the classic design is available by special order and it is a symmetrical design. The KK can be color coordinated to fit nicely into your new area....The Green egg only comes in one color that I am aware of. There are a couple of interior ledges on the inside of a KK for different grill heights, and the sear grill can double as an upper grill. You can get a gas assembly for the KK and I believe Tony cooks over his gas sometimes. You really won't need the gasser if you get a KK. The webber type smokers will definitely not be needed as the KK is so much easier. This will be easy enough for your wife to operate without you....She may even challenge you to a 'throwdown'. The current promotion for free shipping is a good deal if an inventory colors suits you.
  15. Let her pick the tile color..... I have not used the Big Green Egg before, merely lifted the dome in a store, but in my opinion the KK is so much easier to use. The top opens so easily and that does make a difference when you are cooking. The Egg has many happy customers and in the end is capable of turning out very good food, but I have never been able to embrace the style. In the end, what is your goal? Do you want something that will produce good food, or are you wanting something that will also add style to your outdoor area? Also, I think there is an option for sidetables with teak tops.
  16. Firemonkey....now the pink BBQ is making more sense......you located near South Beach and all.
  17. I will let Gerard defend himself as he does so eloquently. You aren't jealous are you?
  18. Back to Gerard bashing. You guys ambushed and knife attacked him, hijacked the thread and that sweet gentleman simply responded with an intellectual correction of your sentence structure. Gerard dear, once again I salute you.
  19. DJ wrote: Yeah since I got spanked for disrupting the geek's techno discussion (imagine trying to make that thread funny!), I've been more sensitive to hijacking threads.
  20. Re: Happy Find Huh? Why drag me into this? I've been behaving myself recently. Nicely structured sentence, BTW. You back on the pain killers, or has the announcement of the worldwide hops shortage got you down? Hey, Majestik started the Gerard trashing. I just could not help myself. Plus, it just felt like I owed you a few jabs from your past posts. Oh yeah, "Nicely structure sentence"....wow....that just really hurts....hehe. -=Jasen=-[/quote:hdtqpmme] Is DJ off topic? or back on his meds?
  21. Now ya gotta go take another walk.
  22. I would have blamed the dog anyway! Maybe the neighbors' dog.

  24. maybe a picture of Sanny eating the cornbread.
  25. Temp on lower rack wont be the same as where the KK gauge is located. Most people cook with the butts on the main and upper grills. I did 2 bone in butts about 8 lbs each plus a bone in pork shoulder (about 11 lbs) for Turkey day. My temp averaged 240 and the butts were done in about 11 hours, the shoulder took 12. I bumped the temp a bit the last hour on the shoulder to be on time, however it had already gone through the plateau. Set-up was indirect. Saucier....if you fill up the bottom with lump you shouldn't have to add lump to go 20-24 hours.
