  1. To give you a little idea of the scale of this beast.. Because the bucket is almost 25" tall to lip, the distance between the charcoal and main grill is very much like the full-size Komodo Kamados. It is 21" front to rear which is the same as the 23" Ultimate. The 19" Table Top is very roomy for a 19" grill. As you can see, it is absolutely dwarfed by the new 22" TT. This is a no-compromise solution for those who want KK quality built into their outdoor counter. This teak cabinet with an inlaid brushed 304 Stainless sheet is 34" tall like all Komodo Kamado grills/cabinets.
  2. The 22” Hi-Cap Table Top is in production. It's a beast of a table top.. over 24" to lip. Square Tiles $4,120 ~ Pebble and bronze tiles $4,280 78 lbs 304 Stainless Steel Net Weight = 578 lbs Gross Weight = 672 lbs (crated)
  3. That URL for quotes must still be giving residential quotes because to Concord, CA I can send 800 lbs business for only $118
  4. What a killer cook.. That orange pot almost looks like it's been photoshopped in.. That orange really pops!
  5. I'm sorry I should make a diagram to show the position of the components, That tube is inserted upside down. The open half of the tube should face down so as not to fill with ash or pieces of wood that would restrict airflow.
  6. I have nothing on the water with them.. But am hearing horror stories from my freight forwarder.
  7. It had always been my intention to supply both the pumps and tubes. I started the process buying the pumps in bulk months ago on Alibaba. Problem with Alibaba is that middle-men pose as factories. I went three a couple of posers before I finally went with a factory who wanted a much larger min order than the others. I had preferred to pay more per pump and buy a smaller min. but the middle-men are less than professional and their English is atrocious. After settling on a factory, sending them a transfer, I requested the 220v pumps sent to Indonesia by airmail. The factory sent them air cargo, the BOL /freight invoice read $1780 for the air freight (was actually $250) Indonesian customs wanted to charge me duty on this plus the pumps. We abandoned the pumps at customs. The pumps that were sent to the US arrived almost 3 months after payment without an invoice and packing list.. they showed up two weeks later. After 10 days we created our own invoice and packing list to avoid more demurrage charges. They are finally there but they were so late I did not want to miss more of the grilling season.
  8. If tiles won't stay down there is only one thing that pushes them back up.. Vapor pressure. You still need to vent more. When the pressure is gone the tiles don't push back and will stay down.
  9. I've never seen a Bubba Keg but my hypothesis is that it will outperform all the simple glazed-pot kamados because it's actually insulated. It's all about the reduced airflow.
  10. I believe both have their merits.. that being said.. Freshness is SOOO Important when it comes to spices. My favorite analogy is that of pre-ground canned. store bought coffee VS freshly roasted, ground just before you brew it coffee. Once you try the latter you never go back. I always say that freshly ground spices are 70-80% more aromatic. I love WorldSpice.com in Seattle.. They will grind as you ship or send you whole so you can grind your own which is what I do. I buy small quantities regularly and put colored date stickers on the bottom of the bottles.. When they get old I use them as smoking material.. Montrial steak rub creates great smoke. I'm sure it's the rosemary which I smoke with all the time.. Dried chilies make great smoke but make sure it does not get in your eyes! Just toss the spices on your burning char and close it up and let it sit with your meat.. barely crack it.. Most important advice.. have fun!

  12. 20 lbs I'm not sure on the coffee.. probably only 30-40 because they are twice the size of the coco char. Palettes are 40lbs
  13. I started this coffee smoked bacon post but was remiss in posting the post sliced bacon.. The secret I found is to super chill the meat before slicing.. Firms it up and gives much more uniform slices.
  14. Yes and no.. I can send 600lbs to Chicago to a business with lift gate or fork lift for $168. CHECK non-residential delivery costs.. easy to deliver to a business and then throw in a trunk.
  15. I'm happy to sell it in any volume but I have no way to cost-efficiently ship it in single boxes. I have single boxes available that ship with grills. To business I get great rates.. Enter in what ever weight you want to cost, zip code and residential or not. http://freightcalculator.echo.com/FreightCalc.aspx?aId=94215e65-0292-482e-960b-a87b3f8fedaf&tt=1
  16. Hi Tony, I just ran this to your house and it was $16 not 23 let me look into this. But still not cheap. Free shipping on Amazon is not really free. They just pad the price. For example, on my coco char they charge me $22 to warehouse, sell and ship to customer. This is after I pay to ship the charcoal to their warehouse.. That's why it's $44 on Amazon.
  17. The good news is I shipped a container of Coffee Wood LUMP Charcoal and it came in this week. The bad news is that NYK no longer accepts charcoal shipments in 40' containers. This is a big bummer because I used to put charcoal above the grills in my monthly containers. Argh.. now I need to ship it in 20' containers as semi-hazardous material.. paid for in full. This adds $7.5 to my per box cost on the lump and half that on the coco char. (lump is 2x the volume) I have raised the coffee char only $4 to $28 for the time being.. I'll get you all addicted to it before raising the cost. More good news is that it's truly premium lump designed to give you the most smooth coffee smoke flavor. Only large and medium pieces which have the most organic vapor in them.. The smalls are sold here in the local market.
  18. At long last we have coffee smoking wood in stock. Pairs well with all meats. Super premium Coffee Wood hand-scraped to remove bark and then hand- split into 3 manageable sizes. Sun dried to 15% to ensure freshness. This medium density smoke would be comparable to pecan and hickory but with a unique flavor profile that needs to be experienced/tasted to understand. 10lb box Big Chunks $16 http://komodokamado.com/collections/32-bad-boy-accessories/products/coffee-smoking-wood-big-chunks-10-lbs 10lb box Mini Splits $18 http://komodokamado.com/collections/32-bad-boy-accessories/products/coffee-smoking-wood-mini-splits-10-lbs 5lb box Cold Smoker Smalls $10 http://komodokamado.com/collections/32-bad-boy-accessories/products/coffee-smoking-wood-cold-smoker-smalls-5-lbs
  19. You can add as many boxes of charcoal to a grill order without changing the delivery significantly. They are already picking up and delivering hundreds of lbs with the grill. All charcoal burns the same time "by weight". The coco char only appears to burn longer because you can put more of it in the basket because it's more dense. A 23" basket can hold 16 lbs of coco char, at 235º it will definitely burn 80-85 hours. The 32 would hold more charcoal, about 30 lbs giving you about 120 hours. I'll do a full 32 burn this weekend.
  20. Final post here.. This has to be a record 16,998 visits in 6 days or 2,833 average a day.. My life would sure be different if this was all thru the high season.. I never forget the little train who could
  21. Looks great, next time try putting it up on the upper grate.. this lets you take advantage of the heat coming off the ceiling for browning.
  22. Forum traffic has been killing it 2,653 visitors in three days..
  23. The usual suspects are small pieces of lump cutting off airflow or smalls and ash from the previous cook. Stirring only relieves airflow problems something that is rarely an issue with the KK charcoal baskets which breath soo well..
