  3. I was wondering who was waving that white flag, if I had known it was you I would have turned our runway lights on. Next give me notice and I'll put up the runway sock and turn the lights on just for you. I hope you had a wonderful trip and saw lots of sight and dogs.

  6. Tekobo, your smoothie sounds delicious - smoothie with ginger, carrot and apple. I need to try it.
  7. You really have to taste bread that is made with freshly ground wheat berries to appreciate the taste difference, it is truly awesome.
  8. Tyrus, I'm not sure about popsicles, I think the flavour is not strong enough, but I bet one could make ice cream with the pumpkin and throw in some pie spices. [emoji4]
  9. Here is the soup, at first I thought this might be bland but actually it was delicious and I think I might try adding a little heat to the next bowl and see how that goes. I have enough pumpkin to last the winter. Thought I'd better dress it up with some pea greens. You can see in this pix that it is a thick soup.

  11. Started my pumpkin soup - Maybe I'd better cut it up first. Done after about an hour at 375- 400F. All scooped out and now I need to run to the store to get the heavy cream. Please stay tuned. I think this must be enough for two batches of soup so I will freeze half for the winter.

  15. Pequod, both of those loaves have wonderful crumb, both loaves look beautiful too, and you just gotta love the taste of fresh milled flour.
  16. No, but I have roasted a whole squash before, just punched a hole in the top. It cooked just fine but it was just like doing it in the oven( you know that appliance that is taking up space in your kitchen. ), today I should pick up more smoking and it should be more caramelized. I hope.

  18. alimac, I know what you mean, pretty soon you will forget you have a kitchen stove. Looking forward to seeing your beef ribs. If I get my act together I'm going to roast a pumpkin today. It will be for soup.
