  1. Yep, I think the gas burner insert may help Jon if he gets a 32 or 42. I wish I had the dual fuel....too late though, I think that ship has sailed from the Captain's perspective (I am the First Mate.)😄

  3. For Jon B's concern.....There is a gas insert to "assist" with a heat soak for the 32 though, right? I have the gas burner insert for my 19" Hi Cap Tall.

We are headed over to a friends house and she is trying homemade pasta for her first time she also mentioned prawns, garlic and butter, I have been saving up my calories all day!😜<br /> PJ
  10. Thanks for instilling confidence Charles. Saphira is a 19" Hi Cap Tall, so we would need to cut. We do have a deemed and some grinding wheels and of course my Sweetie has safety glasses, maybe I could supervise...hmm?😉

  15. Thank you Charles and MacKenzie! So far that is my best sourdough loaf. Charles you see I baked it in my 1.5 QT. enameled cast iron pan....😊

  18. I have an old one inherited from my mom. I use it for the kneading part (not a good enough baker to invest in a kitchen aid) for me it helps make it quicker and easier so I can bake more loaves, goodness knows I need the practice. I pull the dough ball out of the machine after several minutes and plop it into my parchment paper lined CI pan for the rise and bake. I am close to baking my next loaf on Saphira! Thanks to ckreef and MacK for your contributions to my technique! PJ
