  5. Delicious Charles! Its funny, I was thinking of you the other day....I had a pizza cook that went south on me (my errors) and while the family liked it, I was truly disappointed. I made sourdough pizza for the first time, using my usual pizza dough recipe but substituting my sourdough starter. Everything was looking great, 2 day rise in the fridge, it was smelling great and had a beautiful rise. I then separated the dough, as I usually do, and left it for a final rise on the counter while I got my fire going. Unfortunately, I left the dough partly covered and it formed a horrible dry crust which really affected how it formed and cooked. The other error I made was getting my fire going. I just poured some left over (not great quality) lump into the basket and it completely clogged the basket. It took me forever to get to cooking temp. Then for error number 3, now, because I was late (because the fire took so long to get hot) and because I was PO'd (the dough drying up because of a silly mistake), I didnt let the baking stone heat soak properly.....What a night! Here is the crazy thing...with all those errors, the family still devoured the pizza's! They still tasted good, but those cumulative mistakes ruined it for me! Oh well, you can't have a redemption cook unless you screw up right?
  6. That picture looks delicious! Beautifully cooked and presented.
  7. LOL I noticed the ketchup right away, and then read Tony's comment...It did make me laugh!
  8. Had steak tonight and used the flip every minute or so method...it came out great. Thank you for the tip Wilbur. It was even on the inside and still had a nice crust on the outside...just how I like it.
  9. That looks delicious and I especially appreciate the Ketchup
  10. That dinner looks good. Yes, a couple more cooks and you'll get used to temp settings, don't worry.

  13. That's a beautiful colour and what a great deal!
  14. Hi cookie. I don't have any of those issue you are describing. I'm using safari and Firefox with no issues.
  15. Great first cook! That Salmon looks really good. I'll let the pro's answer about the bottom vent, but from my experience, once the KK is heat soaked, you really don't have to worry about big temp spikes. Just my experience, but I'm curious to hear the experienced owners respond.
  16. Congratulations! I love that Terra Blue tile!

I need to make more ribs!! MK1 those look just about perfect!!
  24. LOL cschaaf! One of the first things I noticed about the KK was how cold to the touch it was on the outside. I love that I can cook at 400F for a good few hours and its still cold enough for me to put the cover on as soon as i've taken the food out!
