Thanks for the bolt idea...............I already decided that the flour/paste method was not for me. I can't keep the lump dust off my body.....can you imagine what I would look like trying to put paste around the lid of a dutch oven

The two qt. pot looked a tad too big for the 19" charcoal basket...................(precise eye ball measurement )

The last time Bosco picked up smoking wood in the USA it had a huge spider in the pile, He saw it while he was driving home and about jumped out his truck going 100 Km/hr. I think he flashed his special deputy dog undercover badge to get across the border with that wood.

As a kid, a buddy and I used to go rabbit hunting in the snow with his grandfather...........rabbit was one of the grandfathers favorite dishes. Used to chase them on foot until they dove into the snow and then pull them out backwards. Thinking your "rabbitry" is much easier method to come by rabbits!!!! Interesting post...thanks!

Congratulations!!!! One suggestion on your first cook on a kamado cooker.............let your temps build slowly by controlling the vents. You don't want to overshoot the desired cooking temp, as it will take a long time to bring back down. Start with minimal vent openings and open slowly. Be sure to fill the charcoal basket to the top. Good luck and have fun!!!!!!

Yesterday we reserve a table for 12 at a local cancer fund raiser Clam Bake, that we attend every year. It the spirit of the event we buy 50/50 tickets and also bid on prize packages. At the end of the afternoon they start the drawing for the prize winners. Much to the delight of my buddies....................The guy with way too many grills, wins the BBQ basket prize...complete with the midget - fake Weber Kettle!!!!!!! It will become a flower planter next year!!!!!!!!!

Jon B. replied to ColoradoRick's topic in KK Features & Accessories
Tried to out smart the problem.....................I opened the lid and rotated the tool hanging bracket all the way up. I was able to hang the shelf but then couldn't close the lid. -

This is a picture of the tool hanging bracket that needs to come off to hang the shelves like Bruce did. -

Last night I tried to hang mine on the side of the 19" TT. If I would have removed the U-shaped, pivoting, accessory hanging bracket, they would have fit no problem into the tubes on the side of the grill. I also have the rotisserie motor bracket mounted under the side table. That would have to come off also to hang the shelf vertical on the side of the cooker. -
Maybe it should be...........Be square or you're not there.

Went out to dinner with some friends last night. Ordered cheese quesadillas. They were stuffed with diced tomatoes............I almost ordered something else but thought.....If Mac can do it, so can I !!!!! I still don't like tomatoes
