  2. I generally prefer NY or Italian style pizza but every 20th pizza or so I'm in the mood for something else. If you think of it as more as a calzone type dish that might make it seem different to you. This is not what I crave when I want pizza.

  4. Baked Kamado style..no surprise it's better than in the oven. Cooked more evenly and more ideally also.

  7. This does not surprise me at all. Before I started roasting my coffee, dunkin donuts was my go to for coffee beans. Any time when I forget to order green beans in time, we always drink dunkin donuts until my shippment arrives. It's a very solid coffee in my opinion.
  8. In addition to my Kamado habit my other hobby is roasting coffee. I have had my gene cafe coffee roaster for about 2 years now. The difference drinking coffee that has been roasted 2 days ago is unbelievable...at least to me. Then again I put nothing in my coffee. I order all my beans from sweet Marias. I tend to order different varieties each time and usually have 4 different varieties at a time. My husband leans towards specific coffees from Columbia. I like trying new coffees all the time so it's hard to pick a favorite.

  11. You are going to love that grill. I am attending my cousins wedding near Austin in a few months so am looking forward to doing my own bbq tour. So far I know Franklin's is on the list (pre order to surpass the line with my 2 year old and 6 year old) and my cousin is having the salt lick as her rehersal dinner. Are there any other must tries?
  12. That looks awesome. I have never had any of the dishes but it looks fabulous.
  13. So I have some questions regarding baking some special sandwich rolls in the kk. I would like to do so instead of an oven if possible. The directions have two steps that I am not sure about. One is the fact that there is a water pan you are supposed to pour boiling water into in addition to spraying. Of there are any mishaps this seems like it could damage my kk...and is it necessary since I won't have the convection\fan circulating the way it would in a conventional oven. Additionally, the recipie says to pre heat a baking stone to 475 for 20 minutes prior to the bread going in, then lower the temp to 425. I know if my kk has been heat soaking at 475 for any length of time, dropping to 425 isn't going to happen instantaneously. Any thoughts?

    Simple. Bacon n blue smash burgers with homemade and homegrown tomato jam. Prosciutto wrapped asparagus. Leftover sous vide potato salad.
