They were good size St louis cut slabs. I cut them in half and tried to put one half on a fork on each side of the rotisserie rod. I think they would have cleared the dome but wouldn't clear the charcoal basket. I considered turning them sideways but I think they would have been flopping around too much.
I was hoping I could get a full rack on my 23" but there wasn't enough clearance. I believe there is some benefit to the self basting on the rotisserie though.
Keith, I believe that is it. Some of the folks on this forum suggested it to clean grill grates and rotisserie baskets. I'm a believer now. Very easy to clean the smaller parts like your octoforks. I need to find something larger to throw a grill grate in.
Nice cook Mackenzie. Was that a half rack on each fork?
I cleaned mine up using the PBW for the first time. Let them soak in the sink for about an hour and a light touch with the brush had them looking good as new. That stuff is amazing.
I don't generally mind grilling in cold, snow, etc. but yeah, grilling in the rain isn't that fun. Looks like you did a really nice job with a good cook though.
I think I may have burned my tastebuds off a long time ago lol. The "hot" rub didn't taste that spicy to me. I do need to be careful cooking for the rest of my family though.
One of the nice things about that IPA rub was it left a really nice crust on the rib that was delicious. You should give it another try.
