    Pork ribs

More like pigs in a blanket. They look all snugged up in spice, can't wait to see the results. You do the like the purple crack on the heavy side.
  2. That Lake effect snow is murder for your area. Stoke that fire and good luck with the cook tonite
  3. Tyrus

    Wood chunk size

I take a good size branch of apple, cherry or oak and slice 1/2-1" pieces on my 10" miter. All other pieces like Hickory, Mesquite and such I get at Cabellas or Bass Pro in bags.
  4. You poor man! Freezing, that's downright terrible. Mackenzie warming her fingers by the fire and you how long a KK takes to heat up on the outside, sorry Mac. Your turkey was on for sometime, tell me, was it moist and tasty, it sure looks good.
  5. Sorry Kevin, Saw the color designation on the circle and I guess I wasn't paying attention to the letter. We have wild turkeys in this area and in abundance, so that's the backyard comment...but I'm looking forward to tour pics also
  6. I have had the 23 a Blue denim since July and I am definitely am pleased with the results. I was on the fence with the 32 in the beginning but with the extra weight and all on the deck meant putting it off so I went with the 23. No regrets, Dennis helped me with the choice and I really haven't looked back but, I have been curious. I would like to expand and choose a 19 high top, they look awesome as in the one MacKenzie has sitting up on the table. The right size to be portable, almost. Xmas is coming and I am a little busy at the moment but, when the holidays pass I'll shoot you an email in the message section. Until then a very Merry Xmas to you and yours.
  7. That's one big Turkey, you didn't shoot that one in the backyard, did ya? Looks delicious
  8. Ed, Your work is good and old school that's fine. If you need a hand, I'm just down the street at your convenience and will help with anything. I don't think you need any help but, when I grew up in New Bedford most of my friends were Portuguese and we always helped each other.
  9. Trial and error, it's how we learn.
  10. Good trial then, your work is fine and the smoke it imparts should do well, however, the 32BB is perfect and is a better representation.
  11. Simply marrrvelloouusss! I mean that looks good! I looking forward to playing catch up with you all, very imaginative ideas and a wealth of knowledge to draw upon.
  12. That's ok ED, I've hit the button twice myself thinking it didn't take to the screen. I have the same burn pot but, that wasn't the KK I expected to see. No shame no blame, I also have a few other cookers myself and work with them on occasion when the need presents. It's all good in the neighborhood.
  13. Now I would think you put the berries in whole. Does the dye impart any color to the beer? I would find that unique.
  14. Nice to see the berries used and with such good results. The whole meal looks very appetizing. Thanks for breaking ground.
  15. Some nice Autumn colors going on. I'll use some pepper sauces in making BBQ sauce and marinades to kick it up a bit, nice to make your own as you do. Should Tobasco be worried?
  16. Mac, she stole all of your photos, I mean pretty far back in history. I did leave a message stating, "THESE ARE NOT YOUR PHOTOS"!!!!!!!!!!!! Is she the Wicked Witch of the West
  17. Yeah! Thought that was pretty low
  18. Hello Mac, thought I'd let you know that someone is uploading your photos on the Primo photo gallery site and signing the name Lynne to them. They have your Saturday bread, your bacon and duck egg and others. Just thought you'd like to know
  19. No problem, been called worse. U should receive a message on the tab right next to notification. When u send a message and send it to tyrus it will be sent to the KK site confidentially on the message tab and my email
  20. The Purple crack mix with the brown sugar base Fat Bastard rub was inconclusive. I used 5 peppercorns crushed finely and blended it into the rub and applied. I feel it does well in a sugar base, sweet heat. The next time I will add more to enhance the pepper flavor but, they do pair well together, it's a matter of proportion. On the left side the Purple crack blend was applied and to the right a killer hog rub was on. The ribs didn't pull back as much as I wished but, time wasn't on my side tonite. They were good, no complaints. So don't be dissuaded by the first impression, hey, sometime your best friends might have been ones that didn't meet expectations at first but, they're still around.
  21. You do realize it's only Wednesday
  22. If that ain't a French bread I don't know what is. A thing of beauty
  23. 2.2 lbs Bruce. One more friend is never enough. It is Christmas
  24. That's exceptional as the eyes please. Dennis may not put anything in your stocking this year if u stray away. Be careful, coal is in ample supply. I'll have taste though
