alimac23
Wait, did I miss the finished pics somewhere? I've been waiting to see some pics of Shepherd's pie? I love making cottage pie since lamb is harder to come by here. Er, rather I used to love making it....LOL...hopefully again one day soon. Taking my cooking rehabilitation slowly.... There were no pics of shepherds pie, just the lamb roast. I used the leftovers to make a shepherds pie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MacKenzie
It was a beef rib cook today. Sprinkled with equal parts of garlic powder, freshly ground black pepper and chili last evening, vacuumed sealed and put in the fridge overnight. Tasty or what, rendered edge fat!
tekobo
Lovely looking rib Mac. And you know I've got to ask - grapes? Were they for afters or did you eat them with the beef?

Pequod
Just now, MacKenzie said: @Pequod, I have been eyeing these for some time and they are now available. How was the oven spring, more or less than you hoped for? I think it was spot on. This loaf was 30% fresh milled whole grains (rye, spelt, hard red wheat). It spread out a bit more than the long cloche I usually use, but still great volume. Haven't cut into it yet...still cooling.

tony b
Did a couple of pork chops last night with roasted fingerlings and haricot verts. Direct @ 375F. Cherry wood chunks. Sauce on the pork chops was a homemade raspberry BBQ sauce. Plated with some nice black pepper Boursin cheese on the potatoes and chopped pecans on the pork chops.
