I've been thinking about creating some youtube videos for several months and this week, I finally got around to making it happen. This is my first stab at anything like this (other than a few home movies). It's just a music montage of a brisket cook. I'm barely in it and there is no talking, but that will come in time. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCcwOnqRICM1 point

I plan on making this tomorrow to go along with the Bourbon Smoked Chicken. I am a recipe person. I got the recipe for the Bourbon Smoked Chicken from America's Test Kitchen. Quick Pink Sangria Start to finish: 1 hour 20 minutes Hands on time: 20 minutes Servings: 4 – 6 tall drinks 2 small firm ripe peaches (about 8 ounces), cut into thin slices 1 cup pitted cherries 1 small orange (about 6 ounces), halved and sliced thin ½ cup triple sec or other orange liqueur 1/3 cup superfine granulated sugar* 3 cups chilled dry rose wine (750-ml bottle) 2 cups chilled sparkling water, optional Stir together peaches, cherries, oranges, triple sec, and sugar in a large pitcher until sugar is dissolved and let stand 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Stir in wine and sparkling water, if using, and serve. Note: if you are not going to serve it right away, don’t add the sparkling water.1 point

I decided to try ckreef's Pizza Tutorial. There has been great success with it. I figure if I do it, I better get it right. Anyways here goes... My dough ingredients Mixed up The 24hr rise I wanted to make a Pizza with Chicken with the White Sauce, with Bacon. (Gota Love Bacon) Split Chicken breast season with Montreal Chicken On the grill I got my dough stretch ready for toppings Building the Pie Ready 520* on the Blackstone Here's a Peek while it cooks Ready to Serve Money Shot This was a fun cook.. The flavor of the Chicken, Bacon with the White Sauce was great. The Sauce had a oil and vinegar taste which I really liked. Will make this again. I hope I got a good grade.... Thanks for looking. Yesterday I ground a chuck roast and took the opportunity today to use some of it to make 1/4 pound meatballs to go along with some homemade spaghetti and roasted red pepper. Here they are on the grill and looking pretty small. Cooked. Plated. The meatballs were very moist, but then again they were cooked on the KK.1 point

I flew to Bandung, west Java with the family this weekend to see some Akita puppies. As some of you may remember I had an Akita that passed about 5 years ago but my daughter was too small/young to get another one. She's grownup now and so it's time to bring another Akita home. This is the beautiful lil' bitch we fell in love with.. Her father is a formidable to say the least.. Even momma has some meat on her..1 point

Louis C.K. Quotes October 5, 2014 · “It’s true, everything that makes you happy is going to end at some point, and nothing good ends well. It’s like, if you buy a puppy, you’re bringing it home to your family’s saying, hey, look, everyone, we’re all gonna cry soon. Look at what I brought home. I brought home us crying in a few years. Here we go. Countdown to sorrow with a puppy.” #LouisCK Louis C.K. - "Countdown to Sorrow" Louis C.K. - "Countdown to Sorrow" YOUTUBE.COM1 point

Another day with temps. in the 50s and more to come so I thought let's make bread and heat up the house. Since the oven was going to be one why not make some pasta casseroles with those big meatballs and previously cooked pasta. Pasta dish in the making- Baked the pasta while the oven was heating for the bread bake. Sourdough bread just coming out of the oven. Cooling.1 point

Well as it often goes I forgot to take pictures of the pork on the grill. I did 8 or 9 butts a few years ago. Similiar setup to this cook. Here is a picture of that cook. The pork turned out great and everyone got lots of pork to eat and freeze for future meals You can cook a lot of food on this grill!!1 point

It just struck me that the inventiveness displayed here by all my KK Friends far outstrips anything I see elsewhere. I wonder if there's a correlation ...1 point

I, too, am sorry your KK wasn't on that truck. Great attitude, Kevin. One thing for sure is when your KK does arrive you are going to have some serious choices to make as to which toy will be the Toy of the Day.1 point

All I can say is that Dennis' cargo/warehouse company sent me the bill of lading after the issue popped up and it clearly showed the end shipper as having picked up and signed for everything. What they did between picking up and taking it to their terminal for final distribution is beyond me. As of close of business Friday afternoon on the West Coast, the grill still had not been located. They told me to call back Monday and get a status. Nothing I can do and while I am less than happy there is no point in brooding about it... So instead of playing with my new toy over the weekend, I will play with some old toys. Drive the convertible down to the beach and go sailing with some friends enjoying the wind on the water...1 point

CC, another fine simple meal. It brings back memories growing up on a farm.. We raised our own meat. I love ham steaks. We need to cook us one. Mrs. Reef's Bistro1 point

I feel like Charlie Brown… I went to kick that darned football and Lucy pulled it away at the last instant and I landed flat on my back – good grief! Just sent delivery driver away having refused the entire shipment because guess what – the grill was not there! Everything else was but no grill. The driver while a nice guy, kept telling me the count of items was correct. I finally got out my iPad and showed him a picture of a crated KK and then he understood the problem. He wasn't willing to write anything on the paperwork indicating a missing item so I rejected the entire shipment. I called Dennis and he was most apologetic and right on top of it, indicating he was going to call his cargo warehouse company that assembles the order for end shipper pick up, and have them deal with the shipper to figure out what the heck is going on. He promised someone would get back to me, but frankly I'm not exactly sure when this will be resolved. I think it is time for a big a** Sapphire gin & tonic, w/lime of course.1 point
