  1. Congratulations. Perth the new up and coming KK destination.
  2. We're going to my sister's house for Thanksgiving and won't be cooking. Reef's Bistro (ckreef and Mrs skreef combined) decided to enter a family seafood feast for the November Guru challenge. Crocker sack steamed King crab legs. Dwell in the shell lobster Tails. The Ghost of Old Bay grilled peal and eat shrimp. Mojo Magic corn. Homemade summer slaw and a bucket of beers (OK a couple are missing but I was getting thirsty manning the KK's). A great family meal. Takes a little while to eat so plenty of time to talk.

  4. Cook number 18. Crocker sack steaming King crab legs. Will post the full cook thread later tonight or tomorrow.
  5. I don't have a good enough knife or the skills for that.
  6. Going to push it to 20 cooks and then probably call it quits. Really interested to see how much ash is under the basket. By #20 it'll be at least 35 lbs of RO burned.
  7. Yup MacKenzie is spot on. Remove the excess then store in a baggie or wrapped in saran wrap. Should be good to go the next day.
  8. Once I get my pantry rebuilt (expanding it into a small walk-in pantry) I'll have room to store a slicer. Then I'll give it a go.
  9. You should be able to find smoked pork chops in most grocery stores. All they require is a quick sear. I've also marinated them before searing to add another flavor dimension.
  10. Great looking bacon. One day I'm going to try.
  11. That's the way to stretch a pork cook. Great leftover cooks.
  12. That's what I though too. Makes us yanks look like BBQing idiots.
  13. Looks tasty. Haven't tried the Peach on steaks yet but I did buy a half primal of NY strips today. It's in the cryopac in th fridge for some future cook. Will give it a try. That same company sells a cherry rub. If I can get by the store before I go on Thanksgiving vacation I'll grab you a bottle and send it your way instead of the Ghost Rub seeing as you are about to win the Scarey Speed Challenge - if I didn't just now jinx you that is.
  14. No definitely not - that would have been meatloaf not burgers. I've already ranted about that earlier in this thread or maybe another thread. What was McCormick Australia thinking when they added those directions?
  15. TY @MacKenzie. That last cook was after a 14 hour day at work so I was going quick and simple. That burger seasoning I got from @Aussie Ora had a nice little kick to it.
  16. I need to catch up on my posting . Cook number 15. Cook number 16. End of bag 2. Everything but the dust. Cook number 17. Onto bag 3. Forget to take the after dump picture.
  17. @bosco you should be able to get that at any decent hardware store on either side of the border.

    Babyback Ribs

Great way to load it up.
  19. Great looking picture.
  20. Congratulations but it looks like it's cold - LOL
  21. Looks tasty to me. A local pork butcher sells really good smoked pork chops. Yummy.
