Totally needed. That is the one thing I thought needed improving from day one. I dump straight from the bag and stir my lump between cooks never really emptying the basket. Eventually there is a lot of smalls in the bottom. When I finally go to clean out the ash I have to manually clear any smalls from the sides otherwise they sort of get jammed between the side rods and firebox making it hard to pull the basket out.
It's an improvement and adding a couple more circles of SS around the perimeter can't be a big cost difference so why would you not want to make the improvement? These type of little improvements is what will always keep the KK miles ahead of other kamados.

A glow in the dark needle would be nice. Just a little easier to see from my chair. Of course if I came off a few dollars and got new probes for my maverick that would also solve my want to be lazy problem - LOL
Wouldn't want it bigger especially since I own the 2 smallest models.

We've been mostly eating leftovers from the freezer this week but here is a fresh cook. Chicken breasts and sweet balsamic carrots. Served with mash potatoes and gravy.

That and you have to figure out what most people would like to see. The best presentation won't win if nobody likes the basic idea. A bad presentation with a well liked idea will always win out. This has happened in more than one of the challenges so far. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
No Costco, no Trader Joe's. I did belong to Sam's Club for a while but never used it enough. Could always find sales cheaper especially when buying for only 3 people.

I'm a little stumped. I had an idea but the more I think about it the more I'm sure it would have no chance of winning. I am working on a second idea. Maybe I'll try and get it together this weekend. Mrs skreef has come up with a decent idea. We'll both get something in before the end of the month. Wouldn't want to loose the ending bonus points.

So out of the top five spots us KK owners have four of those five spots. Fantastic cooking from all.

Great lamb. What an appetizer. What was the rest of the dinner that everyone else brought?
Great superbowl food too.
