  1. I agree, I have made that many times. We'll give it a two thumbs up.[emoji4]
  2. Your rib dinner looks perfectly delicious. [emoji847]
  3. I'll bet that was some roast, looks like a very happy crowd. Happy Belated Birthday.
  4. Steve, it is not one of my favourite tools. It does work very well but I find things pretty salty for my tastes. I tend not to use a lot of salt. Perhaps next time I will blot the bottom on a paper towel and that should get rid of some of the extra saltiness.:)
  5. I wish I had had lemon it would have added nicely.[emoji4]
  6. The fishman was in town at a local gas station and because I know this will be extra fresh I stopped buy and bought a package. All that salt block talk clicked in and I put mine in Little Ms. Pebbles and let it heat soak at 425F for nearly an hour. Then added the fish. Plated.
  7. Awesome, I love cherries so I'm positive I'd love that dinner.:)
  8. What a tasty looking dinner. [emoji4][emoji4]
  9. I just used that to keep the meatloaf in place and it allows the smoke to come through for flavour. I've had that one for a long time, it is stainless steel and I can't find it in the stores now.
  10. It is so hard to beat burgers, yummy.
  11. Bruce, thanks, and this is just the beginning of the fresh from the garden stuff. Yellow beans are next, and how I love those things. You will see them for breakfast soon.
  12. ck, I'll share all the clams with you. Poor erik, he isn't going to have much left after we are done.
  13. I'm picking them out so I can get as many as possible before anyone else.
  14. Thanks, ck, yes, the pea pods are just hanging off those plants, a bumper crop.
  15. Here you go. Meatloaf: Sauté: 1 yellow onion, diced 1/2 green bell pepper, diced (I skipped this.) When the onions are soft and translucent add: 4 cloves of minced garlic Continue with the heat until the garlic is fragrant Add: 1/4 cup ketchup or barbecue sauce 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon sea or kosher salt 1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper Continue to cook about 5 mins on low heat then allow to cool. To 1 egg beaten add the following ingredients: 1 + 1/4 pounds ground beef, 85% lean or ground turkey 1/3 cup bread crumbs 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped cooled sauce mixture from above Roll into a log. I wrapped it in saran wrap and twisted the ends to tighten things up. Set it in the fridge for a period of time. Cook at 400F until IT is 160F. I wasn't too worried about the internal temp as this was not store bought ground meat.
  16. This meat loaf looks more like a fattie than meatloaf but it worked great on the grill without being in a dish. I used plastic wrap rolled the meat into a loaf and twisted the ends of the plastic wrap to get this shape. Remember the meat that I ground last week, well here it is again, on the 400F KK until internal temp. was 154F. Meat loaf is done. Potato scallop. My garden peas. Sliced. Plated. Those fresh peas are so tender and sweet, no way was I going to cook them.

I bought mine here: http://www.elitetools.ca/en/product/m18-compact-blower-tool-only-milwaukee-0884-20/ M18 Compact Blower - Tool Only - Milwaukee 0884-20 It does not come with the battery but I already had two of them. It does have 3 speeds and a variable trigger that works at all three speeds.
  18. Looks like a spreader, a little loose is good, so much easier to spread.
  19. Aussie, you are on a roll, grrrreat cook.
  20. If you are not careful I'll bring out my secret ingredient and you know what that is.
