  1. I haven't made baked beans in a long time so here goes. In with the beans are 2 poblano peppers, some Tabasco, ends from 2 batches of homemade bacon, onion, garlic, mustard, brown sugar, Oro di Parma cider vinegar, molasses, beer, next time I'll use Guinness and salt and pepper. Just about ready after 6 or more hours on the grill @325F. Tomorrow I'll do a plated shot. Just sampling tonight.:) Beans are now done and I have just taken them off the grill. Little stir and we have-
  2. The last of the rotisserie chicken is served with pasta, peas, Thai hot pepper, chives, and diced smoked cheese in thickened chicken broth.

  5. That is wonderful news, all is well.:) Another tip that I read of the forum is to leave the lid lock in the first position after all the fire is out. The will keep the gasket from always being under compression.

  8. Thank you, dstr. The ice cream maker is an Italian product, Musso- Lussino. I like it. The ice cream is delicious and I use it to make frozen yogurt and other frozen desserts.

  10. I might be comfortable but these 5 humming birds are not looking like they are enjoying the weather. I'm watching them from my kitchen.

  13. I'm making up for the miserable weather with lots of comfort food. A hot chicken sandwich made with some rotisserie chicken, mini leaf lettuce from my garden and the end of last years peas. Followed by some homemade vanilla ice cream and a sugar waffle cone.:)
  14. Jon, I love the look of that beer bread and I think the entire dinner must have been very tasty, chicken, corn and beer bread. BTW, you are not alone with that weather.
  15. Beautiful, lots of grilling space and the colours fit right in with the landscaping, but I guess that's why you chose the bronze and teak cabinet..

  21. Totally agree with CC if you don't heat soak until the baking stone is up to temperature the KK may read 500F and the stone 350F, etc. not what you want. It should all be at the same temp. or nearly so. That's my 2 cents.:)
  22. Oh my goodness, you kicked that tire just perfectly, yikkes! Your KK looks like it's reigning supreme. Awesome setting for it. What a few from the KK, can't imagine a better place to sit and cook.:)
