Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You're a little over 2 hours from me. I'd have to get a trailer too but that can be done. I have no idea how much we'd have to get to make it cost effective. Quote
tony b Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 So much has changed since the last time we could get it; but back then, 1/2 pallet was about the minimum to make the shipping costs reasonable. Quote
Poochie Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 But how many boxes is half a pallet? Quote
5698k Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 A pallet used to be 60 boxes, and I used to typically order 30. It’s going to depend on cost, as far as how many I’ll want. I’m not sure if a pallet share is economic if there’s much distance between parties, considering cost of gas, and in your case, having to get a trailer. Don’t get me wrong, I’m willing to do whatever is best, but the dollars need to make some sense. I’m approaching this a bit differently also in that when coco char was readily available, and the price was what it was, I cooked exclusively with it. Now I’m seriously considering using it only for lo/slows, so an amount would last significantly longer, so 30 boxes should last a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Pequod Posted March 20, 2022 Report Posted March 20, 2022 Any central Virginians thinking of an order? Quote
David Chang Posted March 20, 2022 Report Posted March 20, 2022 how do non-US customers order charcoal from kk? i tried to order some with my grill and couldn't because it was a hazard to ship. i think i need to be a distributor of kk charcoal and get an import license or something.. Quote
5698k Posted March 20, 2022 Report Posted March 20, 2022 The whole issue was hazardous shipping, so possibly that’s been resolved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
DennisLinkletter Posted March 22, 2022 Author Report Posted March 22, 2022 Just an FYI The full wrapped palette from the container is 110 - 22 lb boxes. Of course any volume works but people always want to know how much fits on one. Quote
