I buy the full prime grade rib from Costco and cut steaks. I cut the 'eye' and 'cap' into two separate 1.5" thick steaks and grind the rest. The cap has became my favorite. Quote

I've seen a few prime ribeyes and NY strips but never full loins or briskets. Quote
Paul Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 No. They stock them. I picked up a 18 lbs. brisket the other day...no problem. 1 Quote

Paul Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Here's a pic of a 14 pounder I picked up for my son. I also think $3.00 bucks a pound isn't bad at all! 2 Quote
Steve M Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 That is a good deal. I'll have to ask my local one if they have them. I've been wanting to pick one up to do pastrami. Quote
Jon B. Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Dang......now I have to get a Costco membership also. 1 Quote
tony b Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Yes you do, Jon! You can use it when you come out for your next visit. There's one down in Coralville. BTW - construction has started on the Trader Joe's down there. Projections are to be open by Fall - HURRAY! Quote
