Yeah, only a couple inches different, so that will be just fine. I mean you can do the same thing on the upper grill too for those who have neither. The only real advantage is the fire doesn't have to be as large the closer the grill; so less fuel used and less residual heat to have to cool down. -=Jasen=- It looks great (but lonely as well on that big grill) how long was the cooking time (from firing up to putting in on the chopping board?).

I just read something on another site: "Freezing meat is just as bad as overcooking your meat because it destroys the cell membranes and causes the meat to loose moisture..." I've always felt that a piece of meat after it was defrosted tastes different (my wife doesn't agree) but like most people we have a freezer and store a fair amount of uncooked meat. Would you agree that freezing meat is bad or ???

Thanks Sanny, haven't made pulled pork for a while so will cook that on the KK using D's recipe + vinegar sauce... I'll be as busy as DJ!!

They figure 5-7 working days to process + 2 days to fumigate...So I reckon some time next week.. I'll make sure the camera will be present to take some photo's of me and the posse before and after the hernia I think I'll make some chicken for my first cook to thank the helpers....(easypeasy with the rotisserie).

Our fur family consists of 2 dogs and 2 cats ... On Topic: don't want my doggies getting injured in that big spring (they're too smart anyway!!).

I haven't tried using the extra rub to make an accompanying sauce...sounds good I'll give that a go next time I make a big batch of rub
