    Yes boss!! (sjees you've become much more strict now that you have a buddy-moderator!). Anyway the pics look great but also look like they've been basted? The recipe is for a dry rub right?? So did you use a baste (and if so which one) Inquisitive minds wanna know!

  3. Mine will be thoroughly fumigated (by the aussie immigrations dept (no reference to customs! ) so I doubt I'll be using any of it on Aussie Blue.

  8. Greta photos, I'll post some with the real thing (almost there!!). How did it go with actually scraping the burned bits off? Do you have to pre-heat or do you now clean at the end?
  9. Welcome aboard, I found this site last years (whilst looking for a ceramic BBQ). Currently my KK is three days away from port... But you can tell from all the posts that this is a great forum with BBQ-ers from all the different families, KK, Kamado, BGE, Weber (DJ +Me anyway) (no prizes for guessing which one is the best!!)

  11. Jealous Man, as I said in the other post....you're so lucky! How long did you use the gas burner for to get the coals lit?? Did it only take approx 5 minutes to get up to temp? (BTW what temp?) Oh yeah because Aussie Blue isn't there yet

Oops If they make it into a hotel it will be a wet one!!
  14. You guys apparently have tools/toys to cut metal I don't!! I received my tube and will just have to wait for my KK and see if it fits and how far it sticks out!
  15. Same here! I got the billybars, but can't trial the 3/8 until I get my new shiny grills... I was really impressed with the trust and service of what I feel is a start-up company (could be wrong?). AND They wrapped it in some old newspapers (one of them was a BBQ mag! fun reading!
