  1. Not only did I use my bacon ends for these Boston Brown Beans but I used the stock from the prime rib roast boned. A little taste test.
  2. I couldn't get in either, Jon. It has been ages since I've posted anything there. Shawn, put a lot of hard work and time into working to keep things going.
  3. I have a pot of Boston Baked Beans in the slow cooker right now and I used my bacon ends in the recipe.
  4. Thanks, Bruce. It has been a long time since I did a beef roast and now I'm wondering why because it was very tasty and the Meater took it to the perfect temperature.

  6. Gravy is done and I now have the bones, etc in the slow cooker to make stock. This roast just keeps on giving and giving.
  7. Beef roast on the KK today. I did use the double bottomed pan under the roast and collected a few dripping and will make beef gravy with that. It doesn't take much to get a tasty gravy. Now I must go and make that gravy.
  8. What meal that was, Tony. Looks like a feast for the taste buds.[emoji4]
  9. Just a little busy here so needed a fast simple dinner and it couldn't have gotten much easier that lasagna and squash both previously cooked.
  10. Interesting, like Jon, it was my first kamado.
  11. Turnip Casserole 1 turnip 2T melted butter 3T flour Salt and Pepper 1C milk 1C corn flakes (Buttered with ~1T) ~ 1C cheddar cheese Peel, boil and mash turnip. Make white sauce with flour, butter, salt and pepper and milk. Fold in mashed turnip, put in casserole and top with crushed corn flakes and shredded cheddar cheese. Broil for 1 min.
  12. Tony, my niece cooked the turkey. She lives about a 2 hour drive from me so I brought squash and beets that were already cooked.
  13. It was delicious. I can ask my niece, it is a recipe from her husband's family. Stay tuned.

  16. Happy Thanksgiving Canada. Celebrated with my niece and family yesterday. Dinner was awesome, so many delicious side, including, dressing, rutabaga casserole, sweet potato casserole, squash, beets, creamed potato, cranberries, to die for gravy and homemade apple pie a la mode. Today I had another Thanksgiving dinner with some of the leftovers, A very happy camper I am right now. Just need a double espresso.
