  1. That is a beauty and there is lots and lots of cooking space.
  2. It was such a lovely day here that I decided to crank up the KK to bake a loaf of sourdough bread. Didn't get much or an ear at all but I'm sure I won't notice that when it's sliced.

    Wagyu Striploin

I don't think your buddies are coming for any game, they are coming for the eats.

    Wagyu Striploin

I think you should overnight one of those steaks my way.
  5. Here's another one, this time I got some carrots from the garden, washed them along with the rosemary and we get...
  6. Tony, it looks beautiful but..... I'm glad it's yours and not mine.
  7. Bruce, the sides are creamed potatoes, squash with maple syrup, and some garden relish. I could have used maple sugar in the squash, it would have worked just as well.
  8. Did a late chicken this evening. Almost said it was too late to start this cook but then what the heck, do it. Used the double bottom pan and did get the dripping for a nice gravy. Spiced up and ready for the KK. Plated.
  9. Looks delicious.[emoji4]
  10. Basher, I forgot to put in, "sear" then spice it up.[emoji21]
  11. Basher, take this for what's it's worth, keeping in mind I've never had a Wagyu rib filet roll. I'd freeze it for maybe an hour then sear it, spice it up, then cook it. Trying to avoid that grey ring.
  12. I use my heat deflectors as stepping stones in the garden. Used one once many years ago when I was a KK grasshopper. Learned that lesson very quickly, it took forever to heat up the grill and wasted fuel.
  13. The first time I used the steam I could see the steam pouring out of the stove, my small kitchen was like a sauna. The second time I used the steam, the foil pan time I didn't see that huge burst of steam coming out of the stove. I used some 2 inch steel tubing to raise the foil pan up to give more height for the oven spring. I do want to bake a loaf in the KK but over the winter I'll be doing it in the kitchen oven.
  14. Doing 5 pizzas at a time would be a challenge, well done. [emoji4]
  15. That is a lovely smoke ring.
  16. All that bread sitting on the counter kept calling me, so I broke down and made a grilled cheese sandwich using smoked cheddar cheese. Here it is using a phone camera.
  17. My disc is in my hot little hands thanks to a good friend. I made a white sourdough bread loaf today using steam. Wow what a loaf it turned out to be, must more oven spring than I have ever gotten with this recipe. I had to use a foil pan over my loaf to capture more steam. Tried it the other day and most of the steam came out thru all the vents in my gas oven. I did put 2 batches of ice in 3 mins. apart, won't have this problem on a KK. Can't wait to cut it but still too hot. It is light as a feather Thanks, Syzygies.
  18. Bruce, maple sugar on oatmeal is the perfect thing to do.
  19. A pennie???????? Oh, yes, I remember them now. LOL We no longer have them.
  20. I think you did, Aussie, but I enjoyed it the second time around just as much as the first. That energy should get me going this morning.
  21. Thanks, Tyrus, yes, that is Corning ware on the KK.
  22. In the mood for some spicy sausages. There jalapeno and cheese did the trick. Served with turnip casserole, some creamed blue potatoes and a little tomato. Turnip casserole with smoked cheddar cheese and crushed corn flakes.
