  1. That's why we need to look at sous vide, maybe we could get her interested in the idea. A little study should show her that red/pink does not mean raw. I remember when I wanted well done steaks. It was sous vide cooking that cured me from that perception, thanks goodness.
  2. That is looking like a great idea. I have not done one yet. Looking forward to seeing it cooked and sliced for dinner.
  3. Have your tried introducing your wife to sous vide steak? Once you get her used to the fully cooked steak that is still red/pink inside then she won't be so apt to turn down the steak that looks the same from the KK.
  4. Basher, it does look juicy and I'm sure it was tasty.
  5. Aussie, you've got yourself a smoke ring and a tasty dinner.
  6. Sliced and taste tested. Here's how to spoil your dinner.
  7. I used the cake pan with aluminium disc for this sour dough bread. Can't wait to cut and taste it. It is going to fit nicely into the toaster.
  8. Kids do the darndest things.
  9. This should help cool you off, Aussie. Looks like more of the same again last night.
  10. I spent a good portion of the day clearing snow off the deck, we had 4 inches overnight and it started up again in the later afternoon. I couldn't believe my ears when the radio said it will feel like -14C overnight, my carrots are still in the ground and I need to plant my garlic for next year.
  11. Basher, that is indeed a very tasty looking cook.
  12. I have found that Lumber Jack Pellets work great in the cold smoker, there are no additives or fillers in this brand. It is easy to light and will burn continuously. When using other products I have had some difficulty keeping the smoker going, have not had any problems with Lumber Jack.

    Best not to challenge, tekobo.
  14. Bruce, how about if I send you mine that will say you a trip to the post office.
  15. What I like best about a KK chicken cook is a re run dinner, all you need is a sharp knife and KK chicken. The KK double bottom pan gave me dripping for a great tasting gravy.
  16. That is a beauty and there is lots and lots of cooking space.
