I use my heat deflectors as stepping stones in the garden. Used one once many years ago when I was a KK grasshopper. Learned that lesson very quickly, it took forever to heat up the grill and wasted fuel.

Looking tasty, Aussie.

The first time I used the steam I could see the steam pouring out of the stove, my small kitchen was like a sauna. The second time I used the steam, the foil pan time I didn't see that huge burst of steam coming out of the stove. I used some 2 inch steel tubing to raise the foil pan up to give more height for the oven spring. I do want to bake a loaf in the KK but over the winter I'll be doing it in the kitchen oven.

Doing 5 pizzas at a time would be a challenge, well done. [emoji4]

That is a lovely smoke ring.

All that bread sitting on the counter kept calling me, so I broke down and made a grilled cheese sandwich using smoked cheddar cheese. Here it is using a phone camera.

My disc is in my hot little hands thanks to a good friend. I made a white sourdough bread loaf today using steam. Wow what a loaf it turned out to be, must more oven spring than I have ever gotten with this recipe. I had to use a foil pan over my loaf to capture more steam. Tried it the other day and most of the steam came out thru all the vents in my gas oven. I did put 2 batches of ice in 3 mins. apart, won't have this problem on a KK. Can't wait to cut it but still too hot. It is light as a feather Thanks, Syzygies.

Bruce, maple sugar on oatmeal is the perfect thing to do.

A pennie???????? Oh, yes, I remember them now. LOL We no longer have them.
-
Thanks, Tyrus, yes, that is Corning ware on the KK.

In the mood for some spicy sausages. There jalapeno and cheese did the trick. Served with turnip casserole, some creamed blue potatoes and a little tomato. Turnip casserole with smoked cheddar cheese and crushed corn flakes.

I think we'd have to pack it full for the eggs.!

Bruce, I used some Tabasco Sweet and Spicy on the chicken. It is delicious.

You now how it goes, one forum member buys a new gadget and the next thing you know it's in your Amazon basket. It just happened to me, thanks Jon. Did 10-12 chicken drumsticks today in this new rotisserie basket. It would have held a lot more but I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket. Plated. Napoleon Rotisserie Grill Basket Accessory in Stainless Steel - 64000 - Fits All Standard Spit Rods. Best for Even Cooking of Wings, Fries and Roasted Veggies. Wings tasted great but one thing you'll notice, the wings did get beat up a little but perhaps if I had loaded the basket it wouldn't have happened so much.

Not only did I use my bacon ends for these Boston Brown Beans but I used the stock from the prime rib roast boned. A little taste test.
-
I couldn't get in either, Jon. It has been ages since I've posted anything there. Shawn, put a lot of hard work and time into working to keep things going.
-
I have a pot of Boston Baked Beans in the slow cooker right now and I used my bacon ends in the recipe.

Thanks, Bruce. It has been a long time since I did a beef roast and now I'm wondering why because it was very tasty and the Meater took it to the perfect temperature.

That is a real comfort meal, Tony.

Thanks, Tony, I must say it did taste goooood.

Gravy is done and I now have the bones, etc in the slow cooker to make stock. This roast just keeps on giving and giving.

Beef roast on the KK today. I did use the double bottomed pan under the roast and collected a few dripping and will make beef gravy with that. It doesn't take much to get a tasty gravy. Now I must go and make that gravy.

What meal that was, Tony. Looks like a feast for the taste buds.[emoji4]
