  1. Stunning KK and love your sign not to mention your chicken dinner.
  2. Quote from tekobo, "Am I right? Or is Macqueenzie?" I hope I don't have to forfeit my title over this.
  3. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain everything. Enjoyed the read and am extremely happy about just needing one disc. I maybe able to round up one in Canada. The eBay seller you mentioned does not ship to Canada. If I can't find one here I may ask someone to ship one to me from the US but I wouldn't ask anyone to ship two due to the weight. The cake pan I can get here. I think your method of generating steam is really neat. It will work in the KK and in the kitchen oven. Thanks for the help.[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]
  4. @ Syzyzies, speaking of clarity, I am wondering if you use only one aluminum plate or both to produce your steam and half of 803 grams of ice, or 964 grams of warm (40 C) water? Thanks.
  5. A cake pan and two aluminium discs, now that sounds like a great idea.
  6. I've done the no-knead several times and it was tasty and fun. When one starts adding home ground flour to the mix one needs to build structure. This latest bread I'm working on uses the stretch and folds. I also use a pizza stone to bake the bread on and cove it with a large SS pan for the first part of the cook. So far so good.
  7. Aussie, dinner is looking super tasty.
  8. I wanted to try Syzygies' idea of using the double bottom pan under the pizza stone, so here goes- I just set this whole arrangement on top of the main grate. Add a little fresh basil from the garden. First slice of three. I'd do this again but next time I'd be a little more patient and wait for the KK to get to 500 F. This time the stone was 465F. Crust seemed to be a little more chewy than normal and I could have cooked the whole pizza for another minute but it really was very tasty as is. A shot of the crust from my phone.
  9. Thanks, Braai-Q. It was an experience not to be missed. Terriers are full of the devil and I like that. Seeing pix of your dog brings back fond memories.
  10. That is a rough dig but in the end you will be happy with the results.
  11. Nice birthday dinner, looks super moist and tasty. Happy birthday to your wife.
  12. Thanks, Braai-Q. My wire haired fox terriers have already gone to dog heaven, I think they came back as 2 KKs. This is a picture of a picture beside my desk.
  13. Those ribs look delicious. Peaches turn pretty fast, you have to stay on top of them.
  14. tekobo, looks delicious, the real thing or not.
  15. Love that dog, but then I'm partial to terriers having own 2 wire haired fox terriers. I'll save the raves for the KK after more of the reveal hits the stands.
  16. Right after dinner I went on a round trip of 52km to get homemade ice cream worthy of some Grilled Peach Reef Syrup. Winner winner.
