  5. Congrats and welcome to the forum and the “obsession” as @tony b would say!! I’m sure you are going to love your KK. I know I do. It’s much easier to control the temp in the KK and recommend you learn those basics before you invest in a controller. You may decide you don’t need it. I have been contemplating the cold smoker as an addition myself. Have heard a lot of great things about it.

  14. I wear them when prepping meats…cross contamination and all. Just a preference. I especially like them when loading the basket with charcoal.

  16. Dennis’s instructions are very good. I also found this to be helpful. Congrats and good luck. Let’s us see pics of the unload and un-crating.
  17. Does not surprise me in the least. An infrequent occurrence. BUT, you might get lucky and run across one like @bgrant3406 did. It’s a big investment of time and $$$. I recommend you be patient, continue to seek out info here, and weigh all the options. Either way, I think your patience and perseverance will be rewarded.
